woohoo... my new ipod nano!

I''ve been lusting after one of these since they came out... my lovely wonderful fabulous kind FI got me a nano!!!! It''s my bday gift - bday was last week, but I was wavering btwn the nano and the new ipod; FI just decided on the nano for me, and I love it!!! Man, this thing is SOOOOO TINY and CUTE!!!!! I''ve spent all day converting my CDs into iTunes...

My two fav things - my new nano and my ering!!!!

I got one too flopkins! About 2 weeks ago. I LOVE it! The only thing is - I bought the two GB rather than the 4GB. I think the 2GB holds enough music, but I don''t have any extra space for fun things like pictures..

I played with the nano in the apple store, but I need more space than 4GB. I wanted it to hold all my music AND all my pictures, so I can harass people and force them to tell me Rascal is one of the most adorable kitties around

I ended up buying the new ipod 30GB, and I LOVE it! It''s so much smaller than the old ipod/ipod photo. And it has plenty of room for my entire CD collection and my thousands of pics

they're called 'tubes' and they come in a set of 5 in diff colors... all for only (haha) $29...

actually they are silicone, so not rubber! oops...

Oh how fun! I live with mine, I have a 4GB mini and a 60GBPhoto....they are just the best thing ever! I love them both. You are going to get oddles of use of out that little number.

Too cute! I've been tempted to buy one but I don't like having to convert my mp3's to itunes (PITA) and also I had read that the Nano's were supposedly horrible on something like battery life (something that has afflicted most iPods since Day 1)...and thought I remembered something else about it but of course can't remember what.

I love how small they are though and so handy. But I used to work for a main competitor to Apple's iPods, so I kind of have a mental block to them...all I can think of is all the reasons we had on why people should not buy them. It's like a song in my head. Cuteness factor and the cool armband are almost the only reasons TO buy one...hehe.

The Nanos seem to be easily scratched. And the screens are cracking because I can only assume people are putting them in their pockets and sitting down on them.

Yes, it gets easily scratched - all ipods do... unfortunately!

I have to agree Mara, the only reason to get one is for the cuteness factor, and the integration with itunes is seamless.. plus none of the existing mp3 players have the superior interface, IMO. Of course, I''m a bit partial....

I think the class action is due to the fact that the LCD breaks really easily.

I''ll be curious to see what you think of the tubes/covers once you get them. Let me know. I got one for DH''s ipod like, a year ago and the damn thing attracted every piece of dust and particle in the atmosphere - it was gross. We got rid of it immediately.

I just ordered a hard plastic case for mine on ebay. I prefer that kind, but nobody seems to have them.
