should i look for different specs compared to a ring? any pictures of your H&A pendant?
I think H&A stones work beautifully for pendants. Even my boss (a typical male who couldn''t care less about jewelery), totally out of the blue, complimented me on it.

H&A can work well or you can look for shallower proportioned stones, those which might show obstruction in a ring can make excellent pendant stones because obstruction isn't an issue when sent in earrings or a pendant. Shallower depths, larger tables, shallower angles can all work as long as supporting images check out, the HCA will further advise, generally those stones which score below 1 can be suitable for pendants and earrings and this link is useful also.
SDL has a beautiful h&a pendant if I remember rightly.

If you have time browsing some of the shallow pavilion GIA vg''s can be rewarding for a pendant.
