I showed her citrine as well, but I don't think she likes all the yellow and the browns kinda turn her off a bit to those stones. I would not mind the sapphire, I am assuming it is irradiated or colored?

That is a very pretty stone. Maybe I can sway her more to the redder colors.

Just a thought, but you could get one of these stones and get a jeweller to make the style that she likes in a alloy of your choice.

That what my FI did, and she wears hers every day. And You could modify it to be more of an every day ring, while keeping the class ring feel.

This is such a unique cut (I like unique!); the color looks nice, and the price is in your ball park.............his spess are in the garnet category---hope the link works. Not sure if you can adapt a setting...........that could be the hang up with this gem.

Was thinking about a CAB MZ, and that is definitely something to look into. She is a bit spoiled my moms and has a hard time with "budget LOL
