Would this aqua work in a rosé gold halo?

Hi

Is anyone able to do me a huge favour and show me a photoshop mock up of this aqua stone, in this style halo? It might be tricky, due to the cushion shape.

Basically, my stone is due to be set shortly in a plain Daniel M setting, but I am questioning my choice and wondering whether these two would work together, in rosé gold, and no milgrain on the halo, but a similar leaf type design, for something a bit more adventurous. This style setting would cost a lot more, so I would need to be fairly sure. I might yet be too late to change it, but fun to investigate anyhow.

What do you think?

Thanks

Or, more likely this style, which I *think* could work better for the cushion?

Hi loveloveloveit!

I am more concerned with the metal choice than with the design of the ring, since I think either that you are considering would be lovely.

For any colored stone I try to see how it looks in person against the color metal I am considering. With a light blue stone, I would be concerned about how it would look against the pinky orange of rose gold. Have you laid your aqua on top of rose gold to see how they look together?

Hi Fly girl, thanks for your thoughts. I haven't actually seen the stone yet, so its kind of guess work at this point. My alternative was to have a RG simple basket, on a silver shank.

If I go for a halo I think you're right, perhaps all in silver would be better. A least to begin with. I'll have to see whether its been started yet.

Thanks again

In general, light blue looks good in rose gold but always verify by placing it on a copper penny when you have it in hand. I know you are excited about getting a design now but patience will pay off greatly later.

Agree that you should get the stone first, then decide on a setting. Sometimes, my stones tell me what they want to be.
