Would you post your bling photos on facebook

I'm not on FB so I do not understand the culture there, but if I had a FB account was under my real name I would not post pics of any valuables.

I do not see such pics as bragging, rather as a security risk.

I agree with Kenny. Back when I had my "stalker" problem I was told by both the ineffectual cops and the PI that I shouldn't post anything like that online. I'm even chary about how much basic info I come out with--I think I am a very boring internet poster.

I'm baffled by the comment that posting a picture of a newly engaged couple ring shot. Or just the hand ring shot is tacky. Why? I'm not talking about an entire folder full of all sorts of shots, just a pic of hand and ring. When you get engaged most people get a ring, the first question most people ask is can I see the ring? If your FB is where you communicate with your friends and family this only seems a logical post.

Why is FB different than Instagram when it comes to posting bling BTW?

HI:

Little to no interest in FB....so, no.

cheers--Sharon

I think the difference may lie in the way people choose to keep their IG more anonymous? I mean, if you don't post a photo of yourself on there, no one will know it is your account - there is no link to your name. Plus IG accounts can be very 'specialised' without shame. All jewelry, all vintage cars, all beaches, whatever your thing is. No one judges you as bragging because IG was made for beautiful photos.

What would you think if someone/your friend posted photos of their bling on fb? Are you going to think that they're bragging or would you be genuinely happy for them

I think it's great to see friends post jewelry on FB. It's refreshing especially since nobody talks about jewerly in RL.

No. Nobody on my FB has any clue of my diamond and jewelry fetish.

I'm not against others doing it, in fact I get a lot of enjoyment out of viewing others' beautiful pictures. I lean towards paranoia, so I don't do it.

Nope not me. Although I am not against people doing it.

I use my Facebook as a way to reach clients, so I try and keep it as neutral as possible. That comes with posting items, gifts, and jewelry that I receive. I don;t want to possibly offend people who would commission me for work.

I wouldn't, but I don't care if others do.
