would you tip less if your waiter/waitress...

I think the question was more along the lines of since they have such nice jewelery that they really dont need the extra money from you. At least that is how I took it. Like for instance if you see someone you have not seen in a while and they are wearing nice clothes and nice jewelery you wouldnt think that they need money.

Of course not. We tip the standard rate no matter what they look like.

It would never occur to me
We tip according to service and to a certain extent the occasion
We went out to a very nice place for my birthday this week
Had an excellent dinner(no alcohol shared app) with outstanding service
My son tipped $20 on A $70 bill but normally tips at least 20%
He worked in food service during college and has a soft spot
for the industry

Yeah, I think working as a waiter/waitress would be a super hard job. On the feet all day plus having to be friendly to even those who are very rude. I'd love to tip a lot more than we often do. . .when DH and I had a larger income coming in, we did tip quit a bit - usually 25%, but now it's around 15%...but I still tip hairdressers 20%

absolutely not! I tip based on quality of service and not what the server looks like/is wearing. I always give 20% but if I get phenomenal service, I will give another 20%.

It wouldn't make any difference to me. I would probably tip extra if the person talked jewelry with me for a minute or 2.
