woohoo!!!! I was so excited and trembling doing the screenshot in a hurry to post it here ASAP as if it was me buying the stone hahahaha. Can’t wait to hear all about it!!! I am so ecstatic for you!!

Oh my gosh ladies! Thanks for being on this wild ride with me (seriously)! You are all the best!

This is one of the myriad of reasons I love PS!

@Txborn79 ok-here it is 10.74 mm x 10.68 mm x 5.76 mm. Definitely on the shallow end for an OEC but I was assured that the middle is lively. :appl:

Oh if Alex had a look at that stone and vetted, it will be a good one :)
And what a huge and spready stone. I am so happy that your search paid off :)

Congrats on snagging it!
Out of curiosity, did he show any side view photos?

Thanks. I'm still a bit in shock to be honest.

I did not see a side shot. But I will post some when I get it. I just received my GIA Color Grading Kit so I can do some side profile comparisons, too.

SO HUGE. Cannot wait to see your photos/videos, and also see how you set it!!

OMG, my jaw dropped when I saw that one! I can't wait to see your pictures! Congrats on a beauty!

Yay! Even bigger than you were searching for. I trust Alex, he has a good eye for OEC’s so I’m sure it will be lovely. Congrats and I can’t wait to see what you think about it!

These stones were from Alex. Although much smaller, they were beautiful

@Txborn79 that’s so pretty!

And I have to thank you (and all the other lovely ladies) for being Quick Draw McGraw.

I was literally waiting in my car for my son when I saw your message on PS. That was one distracted drive to track practice!

Congrats on snagging this beauty (saw it on Instagram), @lulu_ma !
Can’t wait to see how you set it:appl::appl:

Thanks @maita13 ! I think she's going to live in a simple crown setting for a while. I need to get to NYC to look at the deco setting I posted irl. I don't want spend the money on that setting without knowing that I love it.

I am soooo glad you got that stone and am excited for follow up pics! The moment I saw it hoped you could nab it in time!

Oh @Cerulean it was a nail biting 25 minutes waiting to hear back from Alex! I should change my handle to @crazyoeclady ;)

@maldkelton can you share what your ideal specs are and ballpark budget? I may have some leads for you.

Im looking for something in the 2.5-3 ct range, K/L, possibly M, ideally under 20k! I think id love to by from a PS'er, as Ive never done this before. I have seen some really pretty stones with Jewels by Grace, but i really feel like i need to see in person, and thats not going to happen any time soon.

I think im interested in the K-M range, I have an OEC in my engagement ring, but its not graded, it definitely was warmth to it, but i really have no clue what im looking at.

Are you close to NYC or LA? Or do you have any estate jewelry stores close to you?

If you see stones and can find tune what you like, there are so many wonderful PSers who can give you leads.

The great news is that I have heard that less than 3 carats there are quite a few more choices than 3+.

Once you have contenders the OEC experts (I’m a newbie) can help you weed them down!

I can't wait to see this set! That is one beautiful, huge, glorious stone!

@lulu_ma - are you having Alex set this or do you have other plans? I am so excited for you. Did you see the 5 carat OMC he posted? Oh my.... :kiss2:

@Dmndsr4evr11 Omg that OMC was TDF!

Since I want to see the 4.11 ct stone irl first, I don't plan to have Alex set it. Don't want to deal with the back and forth shipping. I will have someone local do a temp setting.

I still love that more elaborate Art Deco setting I posted a while back but need to try it on in person to be sure.

Here's my initial idea for the temp setting-I might do platinum instead of yellow gold. I love the 8 prongs and the crown-but maybe a more refined donut? Not sure yet.

I wonder how much it is. He didn’t post the price.
Sounds like a plan. Looks good! I think CVB has a similar more ornate design. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.

@Dmndsr4evr11 Idk. I'm curious, too!

I'll have to check out the CVB design. How much are her settings, typically? I have no idea. I'm guessing it would be more than I want to spend on a temp setting?
