Yellow Fancy Pear-halo/5stone/3stone/both??

Really? I don't see female anatomy anywhere.
My halo inspiration is attached. We are trying to modify to pear with larger stones.
So fare the changes will be adding 4.2rounds on both sides of 4.4mm round, reducing the amount of .015 pointers and adding .025 point at tip.

I mean if you don’t see it ok But I’m certain I’m not the only one.

Now th you’re saying that is your inspiration I don’t see it in those cads at all. Do you like the basket ?

I wanted a simple / open gallery. similar to this ring on DK insta...Amy modified it for the pear.

I wanted to incorporate my three rounds in the halo design but don't think it's gonna work out as I see it in my head with the size of stones and all. Thank you @Niel for design renderings and setting suggestions.

I do want to say Im in love with the tiara and will probably combine my rounds w/ a 4.5m x 10.06mm marq for a design in that direction.

Regarding my pear I'm in love with 3 stone... Especially since I saw this from DBL and the pear is similar in dimensions to mine.

There’s a lot of ways you could do that Belle Époque style tiara ring with the rounds pears and stones you have I’m sure it will be lovely.

And I get it sometimes the heart just wants what it wants when it comes to a setting. That pear in a three stone would be lovely too

So I took a chance and asked Amy to set all my pears North/South. I know this style it's not everyone's cup of tea but I wanted to see it.

So I have the Wax.
4.06x6.93/4.46x7.35/7.17x10.91/4.51x7.32/4.06x6.98
.41/.50/2.0/.57/.42 = 3.9ctw

The request I made was for Amy to set the stones higher and put some space between them because they look squished together.

But I may consider having her halo ctr with 1.5 pointers w/ faux bezel.

I don't want this ring to be over down with diamonds. But maybe the halo will be just the right touch it needs.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I don’t like how the heads taper down to a peg at the bottom I don’t think that’s a particularly flattering profile

Also what if the pears surrounded the butt of the war and then there were diamonds toward the point…. If were talking halos.
but that’s a different design entirely

that'll be totally unique and a lot of finger coverage. i'm having a hard time picturing it in reality, if you go with this design i hope you'll come back w/ lots of photos =D

Do you have a suggestion for the heads? I have been searching for different basket designs for pears and this was all I could come up with. I agree the heads could be changed maybe why the stones look squished together to me.

Interesting.... Kinda of looks like an Indian headdress. I would love to incorporate my small pears into a halo just don't know how to position nthe pears so it works. I think I prefer the 5 stone look. I just want to get it right though...

so I’m wearing the wax and ring spins. does that mean it will spin the same or more when it’s a precious metal? Wondering if I need to widen bottom shank…currently at 3 mm taper up to 2mm at sides. Or if I should just go down in size

Wasn't aware pear 5 stone could be Trellis setting. Has clean lines and less prongs than previous CAD. I love it!!

How do you feel about the pear tips being naked?
I do seem to enjoy the side view more with the trellis vs the other.
I wonder if flipping the inner two side pear direction will help with designing a trellis version that covers the pear tips?

I would need vtips I think but the way DK did basket it is under the tips so adds protection.

How would introverted sides help with protecting the tips?

But I did think about inverting the outer pears... So inverting the inner two side pears is a similar thought, but I think I want them in n same direction, though...maybe I will get Amy's thoughts too on this...

I’m not going to have the technical reason for that but a modern pear will not be improved by bezeling. If you have more questions on that hopefully someone can answer that for you. You can certainly still emphasize the shape with faux bezels and halos tho.

I don’t agree. The pear in the simply bezel above is mine and it sparkles as much as it did in a prong setting. If you build a really deep bezel, any stone or cut will sparkle less.

Okay so finally have the ctr.

Hear is a halo orientation I like.
But this is going to be like 5 carats...
Halo will be about 13mm wide and 20 mm long

Or I could keep the trellis design for clean blingy look, the halo would probably over shadow the center instead of accentuating it
