yes or no... you and your SO registered...

If we lived in states where we registered, we would have different registrations, but he likes to argue more than I do. I used to work in politics, so he thinks I have lots of opinions, but in reality I stopped following politics intently a few years ago! Whenever he wants to argue I dig in, which leads to me staking a claim on some fairly ridiculously positions sometimes.

Definitely makes us want to strangle each other occasionally.

He's registered as a Republican, and I am registered as Independent. It doesn't cause any friction between us, we don't talk politics much. I do tend to be a little more open minded than most of my family, though.

Nope. registered under same party....

the "ELEPHANT" party?..

I'm not registered with any party, DH has been registered as a party member forever. I may change my affiliation so I can vote in the next primary. We see eye to eye on some things, but definitely not everything. It makes for interesting dinner conversation, except when it's a subject I'm extremely passionate about and we don't agree, then it's not so fun.

Nope. That would've been a deal-breaker - we both argue to win, and I'm no good at 'agreeing to disagree' on issues I feel strongly about.

My best friend is republican - registered and supports. We just don't talk about certain issues, as we know perfectly well what each other thinks - and that we aren't going to change each other's minds, and the endless circles get tiresome 8)

Yes. Worse than that I'm University of Michigan and he's Michigan State. It's a mixed marriage.

lulu, I knew I liked you! GO BLUE!!! :D

As for the question...my FI and I are registered to vote but neither of us for a political party. We both fall more toward the middle and sometimes cancel out each other's vote, sometimes not.

yep

But we agree on the fundamentals. That's all I'm sayin'.
