Yoram / Gemconcepts is cutting MMDs!

OMG! This is fantastic news. Wow wow wow how stunningly beautiful. :love: I was going to upgrade a couple small stones but I'm going to have to put that notion on pause. LOL
 
I shall forget the medium blue Asscher cut 7-8mm Sapphire and replace it with a lab Octavia instead.

And start saving towards it!

Yoram told me that there is no waiting list. He's cutting things he finds interesting and might consider bespoke orders but hasn't decided yet. They would have to be big enough to make the cutting worth it bc of all the effort that goes into cutting one of these amazing pieces.

I'm guessing the cost is going to be five-figures... :( lol

I'd be ordering a custom F+ VS1+ 2.5ct+ Octavia and the same in a vintage Asscher if I had any money!!

Hmmm, may have to save up for longer!!!

I had planned to get a Sapphire for 8k USD via Jeff W, so, if it is not too far off 10k, then it is doable. However, if it is a lot more than that, then I have to re-think.

I thought that might be the case - but then it is a specialist cut that takes over a week of time to make!

Still, if it's not that far above that point, it's still a substantial saving on a Mined version in that size...

@OoohShiny @lovedogs Yes, I'm here :wink2:!! I've been standing on the sidelines, enjoying this thread and guess now is the time to say something. I definitely have a neat story to tell about this unique stone! And I am so excited to tell it!! The Octavia will be my forever ER and I am beyond thrilled!

I will say, before my official thread, that Yoram is an absolute artist and is full of knowledge (that he willingly shares). He's patient, kind, and is so so incredibly talented. I knew that already but have been able to see this on a different level through this process the past few weeks, and it has been a wonderful journey!

BTW, I may also have a few extra treasures (cut by Yoram, of course) coming in the same package as the Octavia :kiss2:. I'll keep you all posted! Hope everyone has a sparkly day!
