Your opinion....3k for loose diamond

Hi All,

So it is now the 24th of Dec (Merry Christmas all) and I was originally hoping to have this for Christmas (but there was far too much content on this site to get through it on time (and I'm obsessed with making the right decision for my gf).

Now I feel like a diamond expert in the real world, and a diamond rookie on pricescope.

I'm reaching out to you for opinions.

I've got a budget of about 3k for just the stone. I know it is going to be round.

In your personal opinions, where would you take a hit in the 4Cs and where wouldn't you.

My thoughts:
Cut: Stay Excellent
Colour: Take at hit I-J
Carat: Try to hit a .9 or just short
Clarity: Take a hit SI1 and ask for eye clean

Just to be clear... I'm not asking for "what is right for you and your gf... I want your opinion as if you were my gf and you were on the receiving end!

Those stats look perfect to me! It may be tricky to hit the .9 mark with your budget but when you're ready to buy the experts (DS, Gypsy) can help you find a fantastic stone that meets your criteria.

I would add that it would be super nice if you could buy from a place with a good upgrade policy in case you two decide to bump up the size or color at a future anniversary.

It is hard for us to say exactly what she would prefer, but I would advise not going lower than I SI1 just to be safe. I will post a few suggestions for you!

Okay, this one is $2748 with pricecope/wire discount and is .83 I SI1 (great stone):

Unfortunately there is a big price jump at .90 and you won't be able to go that high unless you go down further in your specs.
