Danburite cuts an unexpectedly brilliant stone for its R.I. because of its extreme clarity/diaphaneity. It has noticeable medium dispersion (fire) at .016 but of course it''s much less than diamond''s strong .044 dispersion and returns mostly white light in average lighting conditions. Danburite doesn''t pretend to be a diamond substitute or simulant but at its current low price it makes a very attractive and noticeable gem.

I''ve got some pics of mine now. Just need to get them onto a computer (mine doesn''t have the relevant software).

This one has a stronger pink tinge than the one I broke, which I think is lovely. So I''m going to have it set in a simple rose gold setting.
