BTW, he really does sound like a sweety. I''m so excited for you! Isn''t it a great feeling to know that you''ve found such a wonderful man? (And the converse holds true also!)

He had decided to work with Facets, and then they told him they did not think my stone would look right in their setting. I had given him four settings to choose from and he wanted one with a diamond shank. So since both of the ones with diamonds (1/2 and full) were from Facets he told me what happened.
He wants me to be happy, and he was worried that I would not be okay with the final outcome. But truth be told he has not really let me in on it. I was allowed to see the waxes, but that is as far as he will go. He wanted to be sure that I thought the side stones would go down far enough, in case I wanted more added. Because it would be easier to do it then, rather then having it changed once it was completed.

He got waxes for Lesley late last evening, and he wont let me see!

I even said pretty please and still no! He sent me a small cropped picture of the stone which it looks like Whiteflash lined up perfectly! He said that it was beautiful and that he was really pleased with how it looks. He sent Lesley another email asking her to ship it out ASAP so he can get it before he comes home for Christmas.
And yes he is fantastically amazing!

He has been a blessing from the moment he entered my life.. I cannot believe that it is all finally happening. Elation does not even begin to cover it.

Whoops! We already had the waxes, and I posted the pictures of the wax in the SMTR thread. I should have said that V now has photos of the compleated ring! I am so excited, if he is happy then I cannot imagine me being unhappy. He sent me two pictures one of the stone from above and one of a prong, but I could not really see the prong.
I want to see the real thing, and I want to know how he is going to propose...NOW!

Eh, I thought so to at first. But now I am getting a very simliar (and I hope better) ring. Plus this way I get to have to exact prongs that I wanted. So even though we were both a bit disstressed at first, he is now pleased with the final out come. And I am hoping to be thrilled with it very soon!

I knew what ya meant, I just really was worried at first my SO takes things very much to heart and was near panic mode. However Whiteflash, in particular John has just made me feel so much better about everything. And now the stone will be set by people who love it and not someone who is irked that the stone and setting were not bought from them.

V picked up the ring at the FedEx station this morning. And now he understands what I meant when I was talking about their packaging for my pendent.
He really seems so happy with it though. He told me that he could not see any of the inclusions without the loupe, and that he had fun finding them with the loupe, even so they are tiny and hard to see and he could not find all of them. Which is of course fine by me.
He will be driving to NJ tomorrow and I cannot wait to see him. I wonder how long he will hold onto the ring before he asks.
We are going to spend Christmas with his family this year and I hope he does it before then.
Oh and yes I have a nail appointment for 9:30 tomorrow morning.

My older sister just walked through the door after driving up from College Station. And she liked the pictures I have so far... I didi tno show her the Sarin or GIA report really becuase I feel weird about her knowing the CT weight, we are not close and I am not sure how that would go. Still she was nice said it looked "kool"... So here is a thought have any of you ever had a family member ask the CT weight? How did you respond? She didnt but might when she has had some sleep.

Honestly it doesn't bother me when people ask the carat weight. I wonder how large other people's rings are just out of curiousity so I am understanding about it. PEOPLE WILL ASK! Strangers even. I promise you that and since you are still in college I am sure you will get some snotty looks but stand proud and ignore their jealous eye rolls. The people that got engaged when I was in college had 1/4-1/2 carat rings. I remember everyone calling the girl's 1/2 ct a huge rock (it was a nice ring and there is NOTHING wrong with the size I just thought all the gushing was funny. Probably b/c not that many people were getting engaged. Only a handful.) It bothers me when people ask how much it is! People do! So rude and none of their damn business.

Jeffrey asked me to marry him last night. He came over and we chatted for a bit, he asked to go play scrabble and off we went. I should have known something was up because he had a chip clip on the bag with the letters but I didn’t. So we drew our first letters to see who goes first, and he kind of looks at me.
He got to go first, well he took his time pulling his seven, apparently trying to put the ring towards the top so this time I would have to feel it when I put my hand it. I returned my hand to the bag once again and….what is this? I pulled my out and what did I have THE RING!!!!
Ya’ll should have seen his face when I didn’t get the ring, he looked so confused and a little panicked. It was so sweet and absolutely perfect.
