After many, many weeks of waiting for the setting to be done, it's finally here! We drove down to Seattle to get the stone set, because I didn't want to mail the original e-ring. I'm a bit paranoid about mailing such expensive things!
And here it is! The basket design was very intricate, so it had to be hand-done, which is why it's not 100% symmetrical/perfect, but oh well, it still looks pretty! When I look at it, it reminds me of a butterfly (which has significant meaning to me and my fiancé)! We chose to use rose gold for the "butterfly" so that it would stand out more. The top half of the butterfly actually slants/curves outwards to meet the edge of the halo, to give it a more 3D effect. We also popped in a peekaboo diamond in the middle.
A somewhat blurry close up of the delicate halo. We wanted something that wouldn't take away from the center stone, so we opted for a very delicate halo, very similar to the Tacori 2620.
And, lastly... a perspective shot. The delicate halo really made the ring look more substantial on my finger! For reference, my ring size is a 4. The center stone is a 1.5 J VS1 AVC.
It was wonderful working with Andrea and Usiel at Joseph Jewelry again. They're so awesome and always a great pleasure to work with!
