I was searching for an old cut chart and ran into the first thread started by ecf8503, and I was going to add my ring but it''''s locked. So I''''m starting a new one, as there have been many new antique rings posted on here since then.

My heirloom OMC

Here''s mine:

I think mine is in the old thread, but what the heck.

Thank you Ladyciel. I count myself very fortunate to be able to give MrS''s ring a good home.

I''ve never been able to get a decent picture of my OMC, set in a new setting. Here''s a close-up of the stone:

And here''s the old thread where you can see more ugly pictures of the ring:

Skippy, Ellen and JCrow, thank you. They are small diamonds, but I love the whole piece on each of them.

Hey, whatever happened Ellen -- did you get your ring fixed?

Ellen, Poshpepper, Skippy, Tacori, Linda, Jay & Hest,
Thanks for the compliments.

I have a 6 year old trying his best to distract me! Pardon me if my latest posts are not very coherent or if I''ve missed anyone or any lovelies!

Chrono, thank you. I was sure these were platinum because of the detail -- it''s quite intricuit and does not seemed stamped at all. I found out it''s actually 14k white gold, circa 1920''s or 1930''s, but I don''t know who the manufacturer is or anything else about it. Except for the metal, I''m not even sure I''m confident of the era. It''s what the jeweler thought and my aunt (and my grandmother) is long deceased so I can''t ask her.

The rings in this thread are incredible. I love, love, love them! I adore antique and vintage jewelry.

Can anyone recommend a book on antique/vintage jewelry?

Here is hubby's little treasure from Asprey of London circa 1830-1850

Thanks Chrono! I was laughing because I thought I wish I had an antique ring and then I got to thinking hubby has an antique little horse. Thanks again.
