Waiting is very difficult but you are right in that it will be worth it in the end!
It will happen when the time is right. And kudos to you for making the hard but right decision. Can’t wait to see it once it’s done in the future. It’ll be gorgeous!!!
Any update on these beauties?
Just bumping this, as I love these stones and realize I haven't seen @Matthews1127 or fellow Yoram-fan @OoohShiny around in awhile!!
I was thinking the same thing! Where are you, Matthews? Hope everything is ok.
@SandyK and @Alex T: thank you for thinking of me!
All is well! I have missed you all very much!
I stepped away to venture into uncharted territories and started my own small business. This is a side gig for me, as I am still working full-time as a medical professional, but I needed to dabble in something that distracted from the craziness that is COVID-19.
I am an independent consultant for a child company birthed by Swarovski. I don’t want to get into specifics, as I don’t want to violate any rules, here. But that has consumed my time.
It’s all jewelry, and I’m super excited; it’s totally out of my wheelhouse, as I have never engaged in direct sales in my life! I have been quite successful, thus far, and it has become lucrative in the sense that it is helping me to achieve my ultimate goal: college tuition.
That leads to the next ultimate goal: my Yoram Vintage Asscher Anniversary Band! LOL!!
I WILL have this band!! I WILL!! I am diligently working to make this dream come true. I have not forgotten a soul on PS, and I am happy to report all is well, here!
I hope this post finds all of you happy and healthy!
I will continue to pop in to keep everyone updated! Big hugs to all of you!!![]()
Huge to you, gorgeous lady! And how super exciting about your new venture!!
Please check in with us now & again to let us know all is well. We are a big PS family & we do notice when people go AWOL.
Heaps of success pixie dust to you!
I've missed seeing you and am glad to see a happy update! Very excited for your new venture!

Great update!! So glad to hear you are doing well and about the new job, and the wait is just going to make you appreciate your incredible band even more!!
I was thinking the same thing! Where are you, Matthews? Hope everything is ok.
Has anyone heard from @OoohShiny?
My goodness does time fly!
I had NO IDEA I had been gone so long!! 2021??? REALLY???
Fast Forward to 2025!!
Yoram’s gorgeous “Suite of 7” still lie cradled in their glass case. Still awaiting their forever home.
College boy graduated with his BS in Chemistry, and is now working in Pharmacy.
Christmas Eve, 2022, my DH landed in the ER with a Pancreas attack. After rigorous testing and going on the low-fat diet, his health improved, and he was on the road to a healthier existence.
Summer, 2023: incidental follow up from that ER visit presents unsettling news. There’s a considerable sized nodule on his thyroid.
Biopsy is conducted: Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma. Surgery is scheduled. November, 2023: Complete removal is successful. Early 2024, whole body scan shows no sign of cancer. He is clear, and cancer free. His most recent testing performed earlier this month was all clear and his titre was negative. *Deep sigh of relief*.
Since my last post here, we have traveled significantly (cautiously due to Covid/Flu, etc). I set many things aside to help him through his treatment and get him healthy. It was important to both of us to make more time for us and our family.
My BFF in life lives in VA (we are in PA), and was diagnosed with POTS and Dysautonomia in 2023. Her health has been compromised and she lives alone. She does not have a strong support system where she lives. We have taken several road trips to be there to help her; we even surprised her with a vacation to the beach (and our Sorority Convention) this past summer to get her out of her apartment and give her R&R and TLC.
She still struggles, and another visit will soon be in the works, as her condition has become worse.
During our travels (near and far), DH and I discovered a place where we intend to renew our vows. That said, extensive conversations have taken place pertaining to this amazing diamond band project, and an E-Ring upgrade (YAY!) in recent months, even as recent as early February.
He celebrated his 50th birthday last year, and I just celebrated my 50th birthday this past New Year’s Day.
Time is flying by, our kids are almost ALL grown (some are even living on their own). Life has thrown some nasty curve balls at us, and it’s time to accept that we are mortal. I want to enjoy the little things as long as possible.
Our journey for my “forever” upgrade has begun. I’ll save that for another thread. I can tell you that is in the forefront of the band as it can be financed, and the band cannot. The upgrade is far more immediately tangible, and if he is to marry me again, a proposal is in order! There are plans set for my beloved Uisce!! She isn’t going anywhere; she stays with me. She’s going to have a new home when the upgrade is complete!
We have agreed to make it a priority to build a forever home for my Suite of 7 for our 10 year Anniversary: 2026.
The price of gold is the issue, and I’ve been in regular contact with our jeweler who is creating this bespoke masterpiece. We will revisit the details and the price and go from there.
For now, the goal is to have this ring on my finger on Nov. 27, 2026!
Thank you for your kindness, patience, excitement, and support through this process! This community means the world to me, and I am so happy to be back among friends!
I will say that these two projects will be our final projects for a while. It is our intent to do some remodeling and updating our home in the coming years. At some point after our youngest leaves the nest, we will sell this house and settle elsewhere in the cabin by the water I promised him when he proposed. After all, a promise is a promise and we’re not getting any younger!
Stay tuned for the next episode! This one should be SPARK-TACULAR!
A new ring on your finger on my BD no less!!!! Glad to see you back! Healing vibes to you and yours.
Thank you!!
How exciting! I didn’t know I got married on your BIRTHDAY!! That’s so awesome!![]()
You have a lot of self-control. I'd stop feeding the kids and tell the dog to get a job so I could have that ring by Easter.
Yoram Asschers, can't wait!
