1.3 ct too big/flashy on 5.25 fingers??

Just an FYI my ring is over 2mm and it spins a ton. WF has some ring noodles they can send to help with this if it’s an issue.

This! My current ER not so much bc I now have sausage fingers thanks to age and motherhood :lol-2: but my previous ER would spin and that band was heavier than current solitaire with tiny small diamonds on the band.

I got sizing beads in my first ring before this upgrade and they were great. I just haven’t gotten around to it with this one

Thanks! She's a professional viola player and orchestra teacher, so I was worried about the spinning too. I'm going to take advantage WF's 30 day inspection period and switch to the Danhov CL140. I love the flower setting, and the wider shank will likely be better for how much she uses her hands, and will look great on her long slender fingers.

Thanks to everyone for the advice, I really appreciate it! I'll send an updated picture when I get the ring, or maybe one with it on her hand :)

Okay, well that one will definitely be more sturdy and will last longer than the other. But I think that setting with 8 petal prongs will make it very hard to clean the pavilion of the stone, and a stone will not look crisp and clean with a dirty pavilion. She will need an ultrasonic cleaner to clean it, probably. Many of us use those regardless, but I still have to brush the pavilion of my stone.

This one is #1 on Amazon currently, but I'd prefer a smaller one, if possible. A few drops of Dawn (blue) dishwashing liquid is all she'd need to use in the hot water. Also, just for daily cleaning, she can soak the ring in a dish with hot water and Dawn and brush the stone with a baby toothbrush and rinse.

Awesome, thanks for sharing! I was thinking cleaning could be an issue too, but obviously a solvable problem.

I'm not sure if anyone will receive this...but I wanted to update ya'll and let you know I received my WF ring today. I had originally ordered with a 1.311 H VS2 in a Danhov CL130 setting, but took advantage of WF's return policy for a 1.197 G VS1 in a Danhov CL140 setting. I wasn't quite satisfied with how delicate the CL130 was and the slight color I could detect in the H from the profile view. The ring I got today is gorgeous and sparkles like crazy. I hope it's not too ostentatious, but I think my girlfriend will love it. I'll give it to her next week so we'll find out, wish me luck! Thanks to all for advise and moral support :)

Huuuuge thanks to Liza, Vera, and everyone at Whiteflash. I'm so impressed with their product and their customer service, would recommend 1000%.

Gorgeous!! I would have to agree with your decision. The size difference is probably not super noticeable and the higher color and clarity does make a huge difference.

Truly stunning ring. Glad you exchanged too - I recall that you were nervous about color - and I agree with your choice! Classic with a feminine twist - I love this setting so much.

Good luck - you did a stellar job. I have no doubt she will love it, and if she wants, we will never say no to hand shots

Wow - that is BEAUTIFUL! I'm sure she will love it! I can't wait for you to come back here for photos.

You did good! It’s stunning and her jaw will drop! Congrats! Please come back with hand shots after she says yes!

Beautiful! What's not to love??? Congratulations!!

She said yes! And is blown away but the ring, she said she never imagined it could have been that beautiful. I'm engaged, ya'll! 2020 hasn't been so bad for me. Hand shots as requested (don't mind the bandaid, she cut her finger the same day :).

Congratulations. What a lovely ring! You did great! Happy 2021!

Congratulations! Beautiful ring.

ETA: I love how involved you were in the process and even tho the first ring and stone was beautiful you felt it was still not right. Awesome attention to detail plus an ACA right out the gate?!? Awesome.
