Well it's not a critter but it did call out to me and now it joins the collection. All those glorious OMCs and OECs and possibly an OCC? This thing is a true sparkle bomb! It's English Victorian, silver over 18kt gold in the horseshoe shape with a little twist, 2cttw. Ordinarily I don't like the traditional one row of stones horseshoes but this one I like. It was sold at auction in England in 2010 and made it's way over to me. I had to scoop it up!

I absolutely love that!!

It’s beautiful!
Will you always wear points down or go points up sometimes? Or is it no matter?

Cute, thanks for sharing!

DK :kiss2:

Love! ❤️

Wow. Gorgeous!
I would love to see how you wear it!

Pretty! And such a sparkle bomb!

I was reading up on the history of these and they said that points up bring the wearer good luck and points to the side brings everyone else good luck. I don't know what points down means, lol.

Fabulous!!

Gorgeous! Wear it in good health.

HI:

STUNNING! What a great find! Could it be worn as a necklace? Probably wouldn't hang properly.

cheers--Sharon

This is how I have it on right now. I guess I need to find out what points down means, lol.

My grandfather always said a horse shoe down like you are are wearing “the luck runs out” & up the other way the “luck stays in”.

Every house I’ve owned has had a horse shoe (we always had horses) nailed “somewhere” with the “luck staying in” - the lucky horse shoe.

It's adorable and packs a sparkle punch. The outer row addition just gets me.
I love it!

Thanks Sharon! I was just talking with hubby about seeing if I could get a flip down bale added. I also think it would be stunning on a black velvet ribbon but I would never wear it that way. I can't stand anything that close around my neck.

LOL figures. I guess I'll have to wear it with the points sideways so everyone has good luck. The pin mechanism is more towards the curve so if I wear it points up it hangs funny.

Thank you! That outer row is really the only reason I like it. I've been doing a lot of searching and I haven't been able to find another one like it. They are mainly in the one row of stones variety which I'm not really fond of.

What a lovely example, you have quite a collection!

Beautiful, Michelle! You find the prettiest brooches! I agree that it would also make a great pendant!

Dang. Love that. LOVE. reminds me of the bow I passed on (still kicking myself). Sometimes when you know, you know. Nice find and so glad you jumped in it.

So pretty @Catmom ! What a lovely find!

Thanks! Yeah, hubby was like, but it's a horseshoe, you don't want that! Umm yes, YES I do, lol.
