I guess designer is not for me.
+ One Million!I've been involved in competitive pageantry - music and movement - as a performer since I was a teen, and later as a composer/instructor at regional, state and national levels. A common theme in artistic channels is that - the bigger, more competitive and prestigious the event being judged - the more what high-level judges/experts reward tends to find itself separated from "fan-favorites."
I'm not saying anyone, or anything, is wrong here. That's the beauty of art. It's entirely in the eye of the beholder. One person sees item X as lumpy trash, another as complex treasure.
...
This is just downright ugly! lol
It’s like a Haute Couture clothing fashion show or a VICA cosmetology skills competition.
not much will translate to my everyday life, but it is sure interesting to see the skill, imagination, and interpretation.

Thank you for that, John.
I'd much rather hear, "That's not my cup of tea." than, "That's hideous."
Words reveal thoughts.
I think of it as taking responsibility for one's perspective, as opposed to having a problem distinguishing opinion from fact.
A (former) friend and I once visited a major museum together.
As we browsed she'd point and say simply, "That's good." ... then later, "That's bad."
All that said, do you know whether the earrings in post #5 are FCDs?

I really like this - the sculptural shapes makes it like wearing little pieces of art every day.
Although I'm confused how the tetrahedron would be worn?
