Enjoy. More to come.

Thanks for sharing...All interesting, some beautiful!

It’s like a Haute Couture clothing fashion show or a VICA cosmetology skills competition.
not much will translate to my everyday life, but it is sure interesting to see the skill, imagination, and interpretation.

I'm really enjoying seeing these! Thanks for sharing!

I guess designer is not for me. :???:

Thanks for posting, some of them are, errr, shall we say, unusual?

I've been involved in competitive pageantry - music and movement - as a performer since I was a teen, and later as a composer/instructor at regional, state and national levels. A common theme in artistic channels is that - the bigger, more competitive and prestigious the event being judged - the more what high-level judges/experts reward tends to find itself separated from "fan-favorites."

I'm not saying anyone, or anything, is wrong here. That's the beauty of art. It's entirely in the eye of the beholder. One person sees item X as lumpy trash, another as complex treasure.
...
+ One Million!
Thank you for that, John.
I'd much rather hear, "That's not my cup of tea." than, "That's hideous."

Words reveal thoughts.
I think of it as taking responsibility for one's perspective, as opposed to having a problem distinguishing opinion from fact.

A (former) friend and I once visited a major museum together.
As we browsed she'd point and say simply, "That's good." ... then later, "That's bad." :nono:

All that said, do you know whether the earrings in post #5 are FCDs?

This is just downright ugly! lol

Charm necklaces have been a thing for fashion/runways in the past year, I thought this was fun and whimsical! Not for actual wear, but a piece that would be analogous to one of those crazy runway dresses that are an artistic masterpiece but would look cuckoo on someone just walking around :)

+1

I used to ridicule some of what showed up on catwalks.
I stopped doing that after a friend explained Haute Couture is not about what regular folks would wear in regular life.
Rather it's about creativity and artistic expression given unlimited freedom and budget.
The art is what the designer comes up with to put on the human body, which is merely a blank canvas.

Awesome thread John!

Thank you for sharing. Even if it's not something I would personally wear, I always appreciate the creativity that goes into designing each piece.

Colored stones, I believe.

While in my university's school of music, I learned to listen to styles I wasn't into before. Mainly, due to meeting artists who were passionate about those channels and learning what informed that passion.

Well said.

I really like this - the sculptural shapes makes it like wearing little pieces of art every day.

Although I'm confused how the tetrahedron would be worn?

Good question.
