3 carat diamond advice needed, 2.7 HCA?

Your rock is spectacular!!!! You fell in love with it for a reason... It's beautiful . There is no such thing as a perfect anything, especially with diamonds! The numbers can look good, but the diamond can be a dud! Your numbers are good and your ring spoke to you! Wear it in good health!

Your stone looks beautiful on your hand! HCA of 2.7 is just fine. Mine has an HCA of over 2, and I love mine! Most people would love to own a 3ct ring like yours. Your numbers look decent and your eyes agree that it is a gorgeous diamond! Be confident and proud of your selection. Your stone will out perform, probably most people you will meet. Congrats on a huge. lovely and brilliant ring! More pics please!

I'll be honest and say that the stone doesn't look that great, but that's probably just your photo. Do you have photos in better lighting?

If you love it, it doesn't matter what the numbers say.

okay here is another picture, i hope this one is better.

i feel a lot better, and appreciate everyone's advice on this. this forum is seriously the best and you all have been extremely helpful in this process!

The stone looks beautiful, and so crisp! The numbers are great and such a super CLEAN SI2! I'm shocked at the 2.7HCA, dont listen to it! Its a beautiful colorless crisp honker of a stone

Congrats to you, please dont stress and enjoy it!!

It's beautiful and HUUUGGGEEE!!! My goodness!!! :appl: :appl: :appl:

thank you...and so this leads to another pt, i honestly didnt realize it was would look so huge. for some reason, my bf and i thought my finger size was a 7?? anyway..it turns out its a 4.25 so thats y it looks large...i wonder if it's werid walking around the city like that.. ERR

a 4.25 carat?!? Wow! I guess it'd depend on where you live! If you live in the heart of Manhattan I guess it'd be ok  The nice thing about a solitaire is if you're in a not so nice neighborhood you can just turn the ring around so it looks like you're wearing a plain band! I only have a 1ct but will still do that at times.

haha no im sorry, i mean my finger size is 4.25, the ring is 3.08ct haha =)
yes i plan on turning it a lot too..i live in columbus circle area, but at the times i do take a subway, ill def turn it, good idea!!

Ok that looks MUCH better. Nice crisp facets, looks bright too. I think you have nothing to worry about.

We have exactly the same finger size too LOL. :))

Sweet!! do you have a pic of your rock on your finger?

UPDATE:

being that i was so nervous that this ring might not be worth the price, i went to three different independent appraisers, and they all took the stone (didn't ask who i bought it from or how much), did some work on their own right in front of me and told me what they think color and clarity was...they all said E VS2 and that it was amazing, phew i feel a lot better (even though I dumped $200 into getting independent appraisals, arg). just wanted to let you guys know, and thanks so much for all your input!!
