Just got my large spinel cushion back from the jeweler. Very much looking forward to photographing this one some more. Here's a sneak preview in dim yellow incandescents and very cloudy natural light peering in in the evening around 7:00 PM. I need better lighting, but you get the idea. I'm just shocked I could get it semi-in focus with such poor lighting.

It almost looks alive, it seems like I can see it twinkling ~
That is a beautiful picture, the diamonds are
reflecting the blue glow of the spinel like blue sky on water !!!!

Wow! Those all look great. I especially like the spinel and green chrysoberyls ring. That color combination really works.

Question in the bypass ring, am I right in assuming that the orange stone is the spess? I've seen stones of that color here time to time and always like them.

Great pics, looks like the new camera is serving you well.

The pear bypass has a mandarin spessartite garnet and a tsavorite garnet. Both around 2.5 carats each. Here's another pic of the cushion in fluorescent lighting, but I'm waiting for the sun to come out to start a new thread.

It is medium tone (did I state that before??). The legacy is an LOGR and one of the nicest LOGR's I own. I bought it a long long time ago, and it was when his workmanship and upgraded diamonds were superb for an ebay dealer. It is white gold. The jeweler that reset it didn't re-rhodium the prongs, which I prefer, so they're slightly yellowish. I have been looking for the proper stone for this setting for eons. There's pink flashes in this stone, which my camera really can't pick up. *sigh*
