Where I started... .83ct F SI1 with .46 F VS1 and .47ct F VS2 (all Blue Nile) in platinum setting by Michael Barrett for Von Bargen's in New Hampshire



2.05 H SI1 cut for GOG with 2 x G SI1 .72ct in platinum, also by d. Vatche





.82ct J VS2 EC with J VVS2 .42ct and J VVS2 .4ct pears (all Blue Nile) set in 18kt yellow gold by DKJ



BGD .97ct K VS2 with .4 and .42 J VVS2 pears (before I moved them into the ring above) set by WF - platinum head and 18 kt yellow gold band.





.32ct E VS1 mrb (Blue Nile) and 2 x .06ct E VS stones (super ideal, cut by GOG back when they used to do this) set in a LOT of platinum by Scott Schreiber. I loved this ring.

This is my three stone. All are k color and the setting was made by Old World Diamonds. Two of the three stones came from them as well. Sides are old mine and the center is a antique cushion- I realize that the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, but the faceting on the center is a lot more organized so I call it a cushion. The sides are a lot more rustic/chunky and I think they are a good bit older than the center. Each side is a .91ish/.93 and the center is 1.4

CBI diamonds. 0.25 + 0.71 + 0.27. Winks made the setting. D color center and F color sides. SI1 clarity. Totally eye clean. The center looks bigger because the cut creates a certain halo around the diamonds. It’s my daily ring. I wear it with a simple silver 2 mm wedding ring. Wear them as a set since we were married in 2010 and still got compliments on the ring. The beaming of my husband’s face when this ring got compliments is totally priceless.

Aww, thanks everyone! It is set in a custom 14k white gold very simple tapered pipe cut setting based on the only 3 stone setting I could find that I liked at Brilliant Earth (I think called the Selene). 14k yellow gold wedding ring with it.

I'll see if I can dig around for some of my better pictures. (I'm actually sort of trying to upgrade right now, but I'm tied to GOG with limited AVRs and side-stones that might be too big, and trying to figure out if I'd actually prefer a Solasfera or - gasp - even one of the ideal modern cushions for a more splintery look. I think I need a wee bit bigger [around 6.6mm instead of my 5.7] for it to be completely perfect, but I'm torn because my wife and I found this together, it was what she could *just* afford at the time, I think she's a bit hurt that I could do with a smidge more size, and I'm also sentimental and am worried about missing this style stone in general and this specific stone in particular. So. Pickle.)

Can’t you get a new AVR from August Vintage Inc? If I’m not mistaken, Rhino who used to be at GOG, now running his own thing at August Vintage Inc. I’m hoping other psers will chime in if upgrading is what you want to do.
