3-stone ring Girls - are you out there?

Made by Sako. Center is a 2.34 M OMC, sides are .91 and .93, I think and are K colored. These stones have been in so many things. I think it is the end of the road for them. Platinum, modeled after an Edwardian ring I found that I liked.

I can wear a size 6 with just one ring, but this is sized as a 6.5 to allow a band with it.

I have been concentrating on getting healthier, losing weight and better fitness since last October. Down just under 55 pounds and still more work to do, but my finger went from a snug 7.25 to being able to wear a size 6 solo. Things have more finger coverage now, which is a nice benefit too.

OMG!!! that is gorgeous. I love, love, love it!! :kiss2:

Here is my new reset for my diamond. I did end up going 3-stone after going back and forth in my mind forever. Haha! Thank you all who gave me advice. I really appreciate it. Here are a couple of indoor cell phone shots.20220816_172654.jpg

Can you share who made the setting? I love this!

I spent so much time in this thread when deciding on proportions and I realized I never included my final dream ring!

Here she is: my 2.091 K ACA with 1.4 ctw (.7 each) K ACA side stones in a slightly modified platinum Butterflies setting. (Thanks to @yssie for the AMAZING setting design and to @the_mother_thing for the idea of little semi-bezels on the ends!)

That's gorgeous! Just out of curiosity, what's your ring size? Feel free to share more photos ;-)

Here is mine. I absolutely love it. I have generally leaned towards halos and airline bezels. This is surprisingly pleasing to my eye. I always admired 3 stones but ended up on different paths. I absolutely love the old cuts.

2.16 N OEC
8.02mm X 8.14mm X 5.24mm

Side Stones:

2 1.13 ST VS OECs

Total finger coverage is around 22mm. Each stones is held by 8 prongs in a crown setting.

I LOVE LOVE a 3 stone with OEC because they are so hard to find. Your is gorgeous. After a years search I finally found two side stones to go with my OEC and yours makes me so excited. It is gorgeous. All I have is the mock up right now. lol. IMG_8567.jpegIMG_8549.jpeg

WHAT A TEASE!! :lol::lol::lol:
I love this stage of designing... well, okay, I love all stages of designing the ring, from the hunt of the stones( which is stressful and fun) to hours of research on the web for the perfect ring design. To then deciding the right proportions of every mm of everything, to the number of prongs, distance between stones, the tilt of the stones, and when you finally decide on everything, then questioning the choices all over again...and hoping that you haven't driven everyone around you crazy because of your decision paralysis!! Yup fun times!!:lol::lol: I love it!! Can't wait to see the end results....its going to be stunning!! Do you get it before Christmas?

Sadly no because I just got the mock up yesterday. But the email is with David now to see what is next. I suspect he is too busy to get mine done that quick but I am trying so hard to be patient! My original stone is a 2.44 ct (8.54 mm) OEC in L color and the sides will be 0.8 ct (5.75 mm) K/L color to make a 1:3:1 ratio with platinum prongs and shank and 18k antique gold shank. I just made the last decision on the height/angle of the sides! You are so correct about many decisions! I will for sure share when it is done.

I love the proportions of your and how the side stones make the center look massive by not being too close in size. I like the 1/4 to 1/3 size range the best.

Here is my update with the finished ring and omg the stone looks bigger without the bezel set. I was worried it would look smaller. I LOVE it. I think I could have even gone with the 5.3 mm vs the 5.75 and loved it (maybe more bc I love when the side stones show off the center). I am naming her Beatrice after my grandmother and I love her! Both of them of course.
Final stats:
Two tone setting by David Klass
Platinum on 18k antique gold
Center 2.44 ct 8.5 mm L color VVS1 OEC originally from Alex Parks
Sides OEC’s sources by David Klass-K and L 0.80 and 0.81 5.73 mm and 5.75 mm
Ring size 5.75 but I wear a 5.5 IMG_9391.jpegIMG_9390.jpegIMG_9389.jpegIMG_9385.jpegIMG_9383.jpegIMG_9382.jpeg
I will see if I can get some good ones out in the sun at another time.

Thank you. Me too! I hope it stays looking huge to me. It gives me 101% finger coverage so I’m hopeful.

Thanks! I have been happy with the proportions. Your new ring is so stunning! We have very similar settings, though you have fabulous larger side stones, I think it is so timeless. Enjoy your lovely ring, it look perfect on your hand!
