Hi friends! If you look through my past threads you will know I have been on a long quest to a final, forever 3 stone left hand “engagement” ring. I have finally arrived at my destination.
This jewel is what I truly expect to be my 4th and final incarnation using the same side baguettes as my original actual engagement ring. We are approaching our 15th wedding anniversary so this ring has an extra dose of sentimentality to me.
The stone is a 3+ ct CBI J VS from HPD, and the setting is by CVB. Both are vendors I highly recommend. This is my second CBI large center stone (the other was a 2.66 K from Wink and it is available if anyone is interested!) but with my size hands a 3 ct center was my dream, so I upgraded for size! it is blindingly white with intense sparkle due to the ideal cut and the small 55 table %. The color is visually indistinguishable from the E CBI in my pendant but I am not color sensitive. I saw a hint of color in my K, but not this J (which incidentally was expected to be an I color, so I got a massive discount when it came in as a J).
Working with Caysie was easy, relaxed, and low stress. We developed a friendship in the process and the woman behind the rings is quite an astounding person.
In actuality, we together came up with a first design for this ring that just did not work, so this was a second go. These things happen! I am so glad we started again. It is everything I wanted and more. I fell in love with triple (yes, triple) prongs looking at French Art Deco settings, and together with the double wraps on the baguette ends she designed a modern looking but completely unique, and incredibly strong, new classic. Every proportion fits my hand and the stones perfectly. Even the oval donut under the center stone was a brilliant idea to nest my wedding band close.
I found Caysie and HPD here. I seriously do not think I could have found a similar stone or custom, perfect setting for this ring at a major design house (Winston, T&Co) for less than double or even triple what this cost.
I have 2 more projects going with Caysie, stay tuned!
So, with no further ado, photos. Enjoy!
