So, unfortunately i found my love much later in life after several long term heartbreaks. We will never have a 50th anniversary. We wont have children together. We wont get to grow up together, BUT we will grow old together, we will go grey together, and I would be happy with 1 year with this love. I have no words for how perfect he is for me. He is the most amazing partner to me. He's gorgeous, he's kind, he's funny, he's patient, he's affectionate. He's so perfect for me. Is he perfect, NO, I want to murder him at least once a week but thats real love!
Prior to him my longest relationship was 7 years, I actually had 7 years, 2 different six year relationships, and a 4 year. So all really long, but not right. After the 7 year, I decided to take a year off of dating. I told my coworker on a Thursday "I am READY ! I am ready to start dating!!" She said "Are you sure??' I said "Oh, yeah, if some cute guy asks me for my number, I am giving it to him..." Then on that Sunday I was at the gym and when I was leaving this guy held the door for me, he turned and smiled and my heart skipped a beat.
He said "That was impressive how many pullups you can do!"
I said "Well, you don't look *that* old, I bet you can do a decent amount!"
he said "not like that!"
I said "I challenge you to a pullup contest!"
He said "you're on!" .... and then he walked away to his car...
I was like "huh, i need to learn how to flirt"
The next Saturday I was in the gym, he walked up to me and said, "OK, pullups, lets go" He went first and did 9. I went second and stopped at 10... LOL
He still claims to this day i actually won, but i have my doubts!
Then he said "you should give me your number, we can go out sometime!" and I gasped, in my head I was like "SOME CUTE GUY JUST ASKED ME FOR MY NUMBER!" but he mistook my hesitation and was like "you dont have to give me your number...' I was like "NO!!! YES!! I want to !!" We had our first date and it was perfect. And its been perfect ever since.
We often marvel at how amazing we have it and we often think some people never get to have what we have. I feel so incredibly blessed by God to have him, we truly are perfect for each other. There is a whole other part to it that makes us feel God truly was who brought us together, but I will spare you all from making this a bigger story than it already is,,, does anyone ever read this sh!t or do you skip to the pics?? Anyway...
So I know 8 years is not a big deal to most of you but its a big deal to me and I wanted to celebrate it. Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my lab diamonds but i did want a true antique.
So on to the diamonds! Budget was my biggest concern, so these were not top quality perfect stones or anything! But i was able to get the size I wanted without feeling too bad! I also seem like i have more jewelry than I do because I buy things and realize I made a poor decision and then sell them, LOL!

I might redo the setting, David did EXACLTY what I asked but i think i might have him bring the sides down lower, AGAIN, this is EXACLTY what I asked for, I am just changing my mind, LOL
