Oh my goodness!! That's the HG of 3 stones. The faceting on the centre is just perfection. My flavour omc! And to find those side stones in that size is also very impressive. I love how you paired it with a simple gold band. That's my favourite set. Happy 8 year anniversary and we've got plenty of diamonds for your next anniversary haha thank you labs!

The faceting was what grabbed me!! the stone has 'scratches' across the table but it made it affordable for me and I loved the faceting so much i didnt care!

I swear, the California GIA is way harsher than NY. Because the center looks way 'worse' to me & NY gave that SI1, California just seems to grade harder! LOL. I LOVE the stone and the shape and facets, and I seriously dont see them. I will take a pic of that side

I try to tell him and show him everyday how much i love him and Im so grateful for what we have, i feel like maybe thats the only good thing about meeting later, i dont take him for granted because i had a bunch of heartbreaks and see what my similar aged friends deal with when dating so I try REALLY hard to never let a day go by without him knowing how much i love him!!

I LOVE THAT!! I love that you share some history but then got together when the timing was right! We say that too, like we wish we met earlier but maybe it wouldnt have worked because we arent who we are now, so we met when it was he right time! And yea, my original ring I had David do it over 3x, I kept tweaking it, sometimes you need to play with it a little!

Your story really resonates with me. DH and I met just before we both turned 40. Sometimes I get sad that we likely won't have 50+ years together like my parents did, but we feel so lucky to have found each other at all, so we just focus on enjoying whatever time we do have together to the utmost.

I said it in another post, maybe we just wont take them for granted because we know we have less time... I adopted a special needs kitten once and my vet said "you know you wont have as much time with him, so you'll make every day count" and it was great advice and applies to ALL relationships!!

I honestly thought i would wind up meeting someone online, i was shocked we actually met in person! OMG, I *used* to be able to do like 14, then 10-10-8 NOW?? Usually like 8-7-7-6 lol... UG, i definitely cant do that many anymore!!!!

I think he's just so used to me having all different things that it's white noise now... hahahaha!!!!

I definitely need to take more pics, i want to tilt/angle the sides more, i requested them straight like this but I feel like they're too high. It's super comfortable but looks a little weird because they're so high set. Also, i originally told him not to do a particular gallery detail (i thought it was complicated and busy) and now I am like, you know what, i want it, so i am going to have David do it !

We always joke how the whole story of "us" is god bringing us together and that's why I met the priest that I donated to, so when my friends are lamenting about how bad dating is I joke "Yes, God brought me a good man and it only cost me a kidney!!" it's rough out there!!!

You better still have that offer for tea open because i WILL come visit someday!! I STILL sometimes go to the vicarage thread. I just am in AWE of its beauty and history and how you painstakingly restored it to grandeur

And this is exactly it. Nobody is perfect, but if we’re lucky we find our person, whom we love SO very much that the flaws can be managed. The same goes for me - I have flaws & yet Mr T is still here, hugging out my Moody Margaret Moments & making me laugh until a little bit of menopausal pee escapes every single day.

You can bet your bottom dollar you’re coming here for tea! There is always a guest room here for you & you will just breathe & find such gentle quiet here. This house is the mother of warm hugs
