A fellow PS sister needs our help - EVERYBODY chime in, pls!

Sending more healing vibes your way, bright&shiny. Thinking of you often.

cheering the good news and praying for more good news!!

I had a short chat with @bright&shiny yesterday, and things are progressing. The recovery from this sort of surgery is slow, and there are inevitable complications, but I was so pleased to hear her voice!

Sitting and typing is a struggle, so I'm not sure when B&S will be able to come and type on this thread. but she told me she read ALL your comments - directly before going into surgery 12 days ago and that it buoyed her spirits. So....

Thank you to everyone!

Everyone I think it is important to understand that @bright&shiny may very well be reading these posts for short periods of time even though she is too unwell to be able to reply. Soooo let’s buoy her spirits !!!

Ooh I love Christmas decos! Here is my tree from a couple of years back, aptly demonstrating my cat's redecorating abilities.

Thinking of you, @bright&shiny !!!

I hope you have something to entertain your mind while you are healing. Perhaps audiobooks or a good mindless tv series?

When you feel up to it, let me suggest the Kick Keswick mysteries by Marne Davis Kellogg. They are jewelry related, super fun and light—just the thing for a recovery!

@bright&shiny The top one is my “Fancy Tree”..The second one is my “Children’s Tree”. I saved things my children made when they were small and hung them on the tree. There‘s a paper plate angel complete with a bit of toilet paper made by my son thirty-five years ago. 10EC3447-E23B-4B64-BAAB-C82D7A50FE5E.jpeg

Hello everyone. I am so very grateful for all of your cheer, good wishes and prayers! Finally home from the surgery. The heart part went well, but I have a few complications. One of them is having a hard time tracking words across a line. So my family is going to read the posts I haven’t been able to read myself - starting this afternoon. I am beyond touched. This community has been amazing and I am grateful for everyone one of your acts of kindness. These posts helped tremendously before the surgery and helped carry me through the hospitalization and week of recovery in Cleveland. The trip home was tough, but it’s over and now I’m at home. Sweet little dog and my mother as companions. Thank you isn’t enough, but it will have to do for now. Love all of you!
Victoria
