Yeah, I''ve been working with Rachel Crow at Suncreek...She has been wonderful.

Thanks for the advice on the insurance. I will definitely look around!

I am so sorry you were having so many problems with your lender...that is one of my biggest fears

The perosn I''ve been working with is Dave Grimm and so far he has been great...hopefully it will stay that way ;)

Good, I''m so glad to hear it.

Hopefully they communicate well with you, and with the underwriter. I had no less than 4 different settlement statements sent to me the day before we closed, so I was a little miffed. Prior to that, Tom was great.

Just make sure they have everything down on paper way before the big day.

Lauren, can I come live with you?!?!!

Not only is the house and layout gorgeous, but the way you''ve furnished it is just divine. Makes me want to live there!

Apparently, Blondie23 and I should have a travelling party - she''s in the same type of development, 5 miles away, or so.

Hi Lauren,

Thanks, yes that's Oliver, although he is now four years old. He's a "Siamese/Javanese variant" per his breeder. (Ha Ha-whatever that means) We have four cats. They're a lot of fun.

Javanese are very cool - my best friend show''s her cats, and she has a Tonkinese that gets classed with the Javanese. Very cool cats!

Lauren,
We love Frank Lloyd Wright too!

This is our "dream" furniture. It is SOOO expensive though! We both agree on this style (although I like the modern stuff a lot too.)

http://www.thomasmoser.com/

we also like this company

http://www.borkholder.com/furn/index.htm

It''s not cheap either, but a little less. It is extremely well made and looks better in person!

Enjoy your beautiful home!!!

It looks great!

Hi Appletini,

Gorgeous home! It looks really comfortable.
I don''t know if you''ve mentioned this, where do you live?
I live in the WRONG STATE!

I concur w/ all of the Thomas Moser fans - his cherry furniture is spectacular.
It''s beautifully polished, we have a showroom here in Boston and I used to go pet the furniture at lunch time.

Congratulations Appletini!

Scintillating....

I''ve bookmarked both of those sites because, well, someday when I win the lottery and buy my FLW home, I''ll be prepared to furnish it accordingly.

Scintillating....

Thanks, Scintillating!

I live in a suburb of Dallas, TX called Plano. The real estate prices here are basically what kept us from moving West.

$300K will get you a 1000 sq ft shabby little condo here!

You guys have a lovely home, I hope you''ve very happy there!

I cleverly didn''t post the rooms that are not done/furnished yet, just so y''all would think I really am a great decorator. PS side business, mayne?

yes, I will post some pics and maybe you could help me come with decorating ideas, pretty please. I will do it over in Family and Home later.

Your mater bedroom makes a person want to come over and take a nap; very fluffy bedding.

Believe it or not, my husband''s responsible for that. The Hudson and Bellora bedding in brown from www.zgallerie.com - I love that place!

I''ll be on the lookout for your thread!

Cool! I love the blue and chocolate combo and your blue and brown rug!!!

Your new house is so pretty! Thanks for sharing! I feel like such a slacker compared to you and your hubby. We have been in our house for 6 months and have hardly done a thing
28.gif
So sad! Oh well. We will get there someday!

Love the interior design. Looks like a model home!! Once I''m in the house building stage, will have to contact you for store names, vendors.. etc. Your exterior looks similar to a builder in Texas that uses stone elevation like yours. Beautiful!!

Great house Lauren!! Your cat looks mighty comfy in that amazing master suite! And I love the glass blocking above the tub. I wish I had seen that before we put our window in above our tub....great idea!!!

Congratulations...it is beautiful.

Thank you Tacori, Mrs Roc, and divergrrl!

Our builder is Ryland, and we''re in the DFW area. Where in TX are you?

Lauren, it is so lovely, and building is not easy! It can be very stressful and tough. I have remodeled many homes and built one totally and seems we are about to embark on another project. We have lived in the house we are in for 7 years which is the longest we have lived in one home in 17 years of marriage! I know how much work is involved. Hopefully you will be able to live there a long time and it will sell quickly when you are ready to move on. It looks like a bright and lovely home.

Very nice! Thank for sharing the photos. You did a fantastic job decorating it!
