Thanks! I love a piece with history. So lovely, so unique, such history. Enjoy your gorgeous find. It was meant to be yours!
Thank you! I don’t usually write so much, but I guess that’s the cabin fever talkingYou have such an eye for detail! It was fun to hear the whole story and to see the close up pictures. But my goodness, the picture of it on your hand shows just how stunning it is! I love the detail of the bow. I think this is a beautiful, feminine piece.
Thank you! It's amazing and looks perfect on your pretty hand! Love it!
Thats a great rule of thumb! She's BEAUTIFUL! I always like to say "pay with the loupe but buy with the eyes".
With sweaty palms and a racing heart! I suspect I could’ve gotten it for cheaper if I waited closer to 12 seconds before it ended, but I don’t think my nerves would’ve tolerated that. I felt like I ran a marathon after!
I remember way back when, internet connections were too unreliable to risk bidding in the last seconds, so I used a free tool called Auction Sniper to do it for me.
Well I lack your ability to photograph via loupe or I would happily share photos. I have inherited stones with inclusions and chips. Most of my chipped stones are currently bezel set to protect them. Most are also lower quality stones—it doesn’t detract from their beauty in my eyes... My 10 year anniversary band was purchased second hand and had included stones one black and eye visible...I thought it was fitting for 10 yrs since all flaws are visible at that point. There are others but Basically I never rule out a piece I love because there are some flaws. I have established relationships with two very good jewelers (one local for easy or weird things and one across the country for everything else) so I feel like I can scavenge, restore and repair as needed.
Thanks!Beautiful !
Muchas gracias!Gorgeous!
Your ring proves that perfection isn’t all that it’s made up to be! Someone else said it but it’s perfectly imperfect!
Thank you!@JPie This is such a special piece, a beauty to behold and obviously has won your heart! What a great find for you, so much like the one you missed out on, but pretty special in it's own right! I agree with you completely, we enjoy these things with our eyes not with a 10x loupe. She is delightful.
Thanks!LOL I love and hate last minute bids. Sometimes I think I’ll have a heart attack in the last few seconds.
Hurrah for your beautiful new bling!!!
I must commit this post to memory
Thank you!Gorgeous! What a find. So glad you did not return it. Such an elegant piece
Thanks! Ain’t that the truth. This is just so lovely! And hey, it may have its issues, but don't we all. Stunning find!
Thanks! I feel the same wayWhat a pretty, pretty ring!
And you're right - we don't live life through a loupe! I love the fact that it's been bumped around a bit & has a story to tell, including losing the rosie's & having "modern" diamonds fitted in replacement. How amazing & what a steal for what is essentially a display of historical craftsmanship!
Thank you!@JPie I love this ring on you. It's a special and beautiful find. Wear it in good health!
Thank you! This is breathtaking on your finger. What a fabulous find!
Thanks!She's a beaut!
Thanks! I seldom write that much. This is what weeks of being home does to you!Oh, that's a find! I think it looks wonderful on you. I love a bow motif. It's very romantic!
Love the description as well.
Thanks!I love it
Thank you!Beautiful, @JPie . <3
Amen!Beautiful ring!!! Who cares what she looks like under a Loupe, we old gals all look better from afar than up close anyway!!!
Thank you!The ring is so feminine and lovely. I'd fall for it too! Congrats on your find!
Sorry, that was my fault! I completely forgot to tag it personal collection when I posted, so I went back and edited it after. This was on IG and I was the one asking you for the price . Not knowing thag its NFS.
I am still swooning. Utterly beautiful.
Well said, thank you!I love the imperfects the most! Unique and perfect in their own way. A beautiful piece and a piece of history!
Thank you!Love it!!! Perfectly imperfect is a great description
Thank you! I look forward to seeing your new horse shoe. This is absolutely stunning!! So feminine and carefully crafted. I'm totally with you on not obsessing about "perfect" finds. None of my antique stones/jewels are perfect in the literal sense. Antiques are timeworn and historic by definition...that's part of their allure, IMHO. Enjoy this gorgeous piece!
