hi marian :)

i''m planning another one for later this year. i''ve recently finished buying the stones for a new 5 stone ring - .26 x 2,.32 x 2 and .4 x 1 - and am asking leon to set them in yellow gold, plat head. this will probably be around september, tho; i''m waiting on my earrings first!

i''m also umming and ahhing about getting a lovely 1.12 diamond i have reset (currently in a tiffany style setting) with sidestones. possibly Christmas?

i also have the stones for a pair of diamond drops and may also halo a small pair of studs i have.

and i want jim meyer to reset my mother''s opal (currently in a TERRIBLE setting!)

so they''re my projects! plenty of stuff going on... :)

what''s your next project?
Thanks for sharing! How exciting for you

Your projects all sound so lovely. I have no plans at the present. The two pendants were it for now. I would like to upgrade my diamond studs, at some point, but since there are four of them...that would be a big project! I hope that I wasn''t intrusive by asking about your projects

marian - no no! not intrusive! is there a woman ALIVE who doesn''t want to discuss her jewelry projects?? certainly no PS''er that i know! so thank you for being interested and letting me chat :)

i want to do some kind of gemstone ring at that point, and am thinking of either a montana sapphire, or a ruby. probably both :)

and your pendants are so amazing - they should ''hold'' you for quite some time!!

i hope you''re feeling well today....

Marian, if no one else had asked, I was going to, since I know whitby had hinted about some other planned projects. But you, between your HOF upgrade (absolutely killer!) and your beautiful BGD piece? >>

Go crazy whitby and have fun! and I think you owe some hand shots of your new Leon........

And if you added a emerald and a citrine to your sapphire and ruby project, just think, you could create a whole new world!

OK, I had a lapse, I''m sorry.......

Oh, I'm just being silly, today

I think a gemstone project would be great. I just had a chat with our lawn/gardener person. We had so much damage from the snow this winter, any bling money will be going to replace shrubs and plantings that didn't make it through the winter

Both pieces are lovely and the sentiment is even lovelier. I first read about this project on the charms thread and I am glad that you are wearing it as a pendant - it deserves the extra special use.

Whitby -- I can't think of a word big enough to express what a beautiful gift that ring is. You're a very special sister.

I love this sentimentality behind this piece. What an amazing keepsake, and so beautiful!

What a great thing to do with a precious piece from you mom. It is beautiful.

Whitby, what beautiful, thoughtful and sentimental pieces you have created for yourself and your sister!

Whitby, I LOVE the necklace!

thanks gayletmom :)

so tell me - what sort of things are circling round *your* 50th birthday wish list? i''d love to know what you''re considering... and thank you for the nice comments -i love the way the pendant turned out.

I''ve got quite a few things on my mind these days-I''ve even had my daughter show me how to make a wish list on my Mac with photos, links and descriptions. Dh and I have our 20th anniversary coming up this fall and I am hoping for two dainty eternity bands to wear on either side of my current solitaire. I''m trying to plan smart and choose bands that look lovely with my current ring and will also look great if I "happen" to upgrade in the next few years (maybe a OMC or OEC?). I also want a pair of small diamond huggie earrings, perhaps with some detachable south sea pearl drops and then a tiny little diamond cross. Next might be a DBTY necklace with each stone set in a miligrain WG bezel with a YG chain. Down my list a bit are some stacking bands like the ones from Single Stone, each with my kids birthstones alternating with diamonds, some in YG, some in WG. I''m thinking sapphires and diamonds in WG, emeralds and diamonds in YG, citrine or yellow sapphires in YG and all diamonds in WG. I''ll wear them in lots of different combinations. And, of course, when upgrade my solitaire I''ll be forced to design a pendant using my current RB stone!

That should be enough to keep me busy for a while!
