My sweetiepie of a husband bought me a little tripod for the camera, so I''ve taken pictures of some of my treasures. I thought you guys might like to take a look.

Here''s my tsavorite ring, looking a little bit paler than it does in real life.

Here''s a very silly ring I bought on ebay, with what I think are aquamarines. I could be wrong about that.

glitterata,
Oh yay we get to see your treasures. I am in love with the tsavorite ring. Yummy color and the one from ebay does look like aquamarines. Show us more please!!!!!

Here''s a Victorian amethyst ring, one of the first pieces of jewelry I bought myself.

And another Victorian ring that I bought with the amethyst one, some 20 years ago.

Thanks, Kaleigh! Here''s another Victorian opal ring, this one from my grandmother. I inherited my love for jewelry, especially Victorian jewelry, from her.

Oh those are just beautiful. I love opals and pearls such a pretty combination. Yay to your hubby.

A set of Victorian garnets that my mom gave my grandmother. They''re much brighter red in real life. This is one of my favorite sets of jewelry.

Here''s the gray spinel I recently bought, along with a new red one, sitting in a setting I''m planning to use for something--not sure what yet. But it''s very useful for holding gems I''m photographing.

Here they are again.

Here''s the same setting, with two zircons in it. I bought one first, then thought I''d get a lighter one for contrast. But I don''t think they''re different enough. Now I think instead I''ll get a matched pair, unless I end up using the setting for somehting else, such as that gray spinel and something else.

Here are three more Victorian rings, two opal and one moonstone.

i was captivated by your last pic with the opals and moonstone, those are two of my favorites. upon closer inspection, i have a ring that is exactly like the one with the two round opals in it, except that mine has a moonstone and a ruby. the setting is the exact same though....i wonder how common it was?

Thanks, Belle. I think that bypass style was pretty popular about a hundred years ago. I would love to see a picture of your ruby and moonstone ring. I adore moonstones.

thanks for the info glitterata. i will get a pic

this section of your collection too! Particularly the garnet set - garnets are my birthstone and you have a gorgeous Victorian set. Lucky girl!

Yummy collection glitterata!!

I have come to appreciate the Victorian period more and more lately. They didn''t just make "jewelry" back then - they made miniature works of art!

You are very lucky to have these valuable and gorgeous heirlooms from your grandmother.
