They’re 10 carats each so I’m guessing at most, they are 5000 a karat because they are large although “commercial “They are FINE "cost less than 100k" commercial quality...

First one as in the leftmost one?I picked these out from a vendor stall in the Emerald Trade Center. From left to right second best, best, third best, hardly an emerald.
You can see the ideal is quite dark. Remember these pictures are just relative. You cannot see the magic. The prices are without any negotiation. Assume 3200 Colombian pesos to the dollar. These are gringo prices.
I like the first one the best
Yes, the leftmost oneFirst one as in the leftmost one?
..I think I'm confused by the 3 decimal places.
Great picture!! This is that metallic effect, but the stone looks flat in photos. It needs to be seen in person!

That’s my favorite tone and color.
There are many less expensive ones that look nearly and nice as these. The ones I first picked out as beautiful were lower quality than these (except the overpriced “hardly an emerald”). It’s just not possible to photograph the difference.I'm surprised the differences aren't as massive as I thought it would be.
#163 – 1.10cts – USD7678.12
#129 – 0.96cts – USD8375.00
#127 – 1.76cts – USD7700.00
#65 – 2.20cts –USD1687.50

Done hijacking.
George still sends his emeralds to other labs including that one. Many of his gems have multiple European reports and AGL.Yes that’s nearly top quality. The certifying lab is the best in Bogota.
The price difference could be due to treatment level if you can’t find any significant difference in color , size, or quality overall. There are many less expensive ones that look nearly and nice as these. Tomorrow I aim to find a face up 8x6 or 7mm square that is less than $1000. Something that I would buy. Stay tuned
George calls fine emerald color, “duck neck” color. Another bird metaphor, but at least this one is more obvious. Lol
I don’t know to be honest! I have to get closer to a male duck. I saw one the other day walking in a neighborhood lawn, but he quickly waddled away from the scary human. Peacock feathers remind me of that metallic bluish green too. Duck necks are definitely a metallic very slightly bluish green, but I couldn’t tell you the exact tone and saturation off my memory.Would you say Duck Neck is something like VslbG 5/6 or 6/6 or G 5/6 or 6/6? Just a guess without seeing the Gemset.
Correct. There is a big price difference between minimal to no oil and moderate oil.The price difference could be due to treatment level if you can’t find any significant difference in color , size, or quality overall.
Here is the “ hardly an emerald”. On my hand and upside down measuring 8mm. I really like it. I’m going to check it will a loupe tomorrow and see it in natural light and then maybe then negotiate it down. No treatment. It is from Chivor. I need to be sure the glow is there and it doesn’t look like a tourmaline
