a YELLOW thread

Since this thread has not been here in a while, it made me think of my yellows and made me wistful for some beauties that have come ad gone from my house. This one is a 4 carat Sri Lankan chrysoberyl. I gotta take some pics of a yellow zircon with Barry's exquisite cutting that I still own and plan on setting one of these years.

I want untreated vivid yellows - but will a start a small collection of treated diamond - some are really nice.

Hi. Thanks it does have a green flour in the sun. I like the color of HPHT treated yellow diamonds so I get this nice vivid yellow for a fraction of the cost. I do hope to get at least a FC LY diamond eventually .

I'll play! Here's my yellow sapphire, cut by Roger Dery in a Ritani setting. It's looked like it might have some strong brown/green modifiers in the vendor pictures but we took a chance ordered it, and really loved the sunny color. Although it does get dull if not cleaned regularly, a once over with a tothbrush once a week keeps it sparkly.
