Could I have some advice on these half moon cuts?

1. 0.42ct length 6.88mm width 3.92 mm depth 2.29mm
2. 0.41ct length 6.87mm width 3.86mm depth 2.27mm

I am having a right hand ring made with an oval tanzanite as the centre stone. Are the half moon diamonds the right size for this
tanzanite - 5.18ct 10.25mm x 9.25mm

Thank you!

All depending on the design of the ring..., but the measurements you mention should work well together if executed right.
Smaller in length could also work well and might cut the costs significantly. Almost 7 mm length is a sought after size and command premiums.
Advice based on the numbers alone. ;-)

Thank you DiaGem.

Is there anything in particular I should be looking for when I see the stones? Anything to avoid in these cuts?

I am wanting a design similar to Diamondseekers aquamarine:

Forgot to mention the stones are both E/VS - is that clarity fine for half moon cuts?

Sure, but we are just talking numbers...
Half moons come in a variety of facet designs, cut qualities & appearances. its accustomed to try to match the side stones facet design with the center Gem's facet design but its NO hard rule. Creativity does do wonders with the mix & match possibilities.
So advising based on the info you provided is extremely limited and wont tell much except proportion wise...

My suggestion to look at as many options on screen so you can recognize you preferred appearance when shown the pairs.

Hi DiaGem,

I have received a photo of the half moons - could you please provide an opinion on how they look?
