About to purchase this stone for a great price.
would like to hear everyones thoughts on this? the gia cert is upside down btw LOL

the bluenile rep emailed me saying it is eye clean for sure and is a great one for a si2.
but the note about the Cloud is worrying me.

LOL! I had to hang by my ankles from the curtain track to read that - hehe!

You are right to be concerned about the clarity grade being based on a cloud that is not shown, there is a possibility the stone could lose brilliance and transparency as a result. I would want an independent appraiser's opinion on this diamond for sure, do you have any others in mind?
 
'Clarity based on a cloud that is not shown' is usually not a good thing for an SI2.

Considering how clean the rest of the clarity plot looks, it is likely that you will see some negative effects from the cloud.

Tough to say without having the stone in person, but this is a risk you take with buying from a drop shipper. This is why most would advise looking at vendors other than Blue Nile.

If you post your budget, we can certainly try to find you something with a great cut and proven (with metrics) performance, to take the guess work out of the process!
 
Si2 based on clouds is probably a no go. Even si1s can take on a hazy look.
 
This diamond is most probably hazy. But BN has a great return policy.
