AIGS trip to Sri Lanka

After coming back last week from Vietnam, I''m leaving on saturday for 2 week in Sri Lanka. The plan is simple: Rubies and sapphires... It means that I will run all over the island, these 2 weeks will be probably very short.
Anyway if it happen that some of you visit also the gem island at the same time, well I would be happy to meet you there.

Well I''m now in Colombo Sri Lanka. Great day thanks... to the Australians!
There are these days 106 Aussies from the Gemmological Association of Australia on a tour here. One of my Sri Lankan friends invites me to join them and I had the chance to follow some presentations about Sri lanka and its stones buy leading Sri lankan Gemologogists and also some good presentations about opals.
Tomorrow the serious stuuf will begin with our early leaving to Ratnapura in order to begin our mine tour.
