Yes they are ibis. They might look exotic but they actually nest in rubbish dumps. The are in plague proportions here on the Gold Coast as the tourists feed them thinking they are exotic!
They smell and are scavengers and horrible.
But your ring is still beautiful

lol icekid - well, not "cheap", but def. "cheap-er" than some. But I adore it and wouldn''t change a thing. Strangely, I just noticed
that the garnet didn''t score very high on Gene''s colour/clarity scale - which I think is odd, as I believe the colour is great and there''s
no hint of inclusions

Oh well, If this is a 5, I have no idea how gorgeous a 9 is supposed to look! I still love your sapp ring!!

But honestly, considering the whole thing came in under 1.5k (USD), including shipping etc, I sincerely think it
was great value - to me at least, it looks a lot speckier than that...I just shudder to think what little that money will get you in
the stores here - and the only decent make gemstone rings I''ve seen in boutique jewellers have been upwards of 10k

I''m actually looking forward to doing the SA test with this ring

you may be able to make out in these, the quite different colours of the alloys - both are 18k YG, but I find the WF
is lighter, cooler - almost "greener", while the JM one is warmer and richer..
