Some pics of jade decorative objects I took at the museum. Most of these are Chinese in origin. It was the Lazzadro museum of lapidary art.

Thanks for sharing. One day I will go there.

Wow, those are gorgeous - thank you so much for taking the time to take and post these here. =)2

These were done very many years ago with no sophisticated tools, no CADs, no computers, sheer human dedication and skill.

What a marvel :)

Black Chinese jade vase several thousand years old from the Art Institute. This reminds me of a Frank Lloyd Wright piece. He did get much of his inspiration from Eastern Asia.

Jadeite is probably my DH’s favourite gem.
Just to share these 2 rings he got me.
I do appreciate the beauty of jadeite but I don’t know why I don’t seem to wear them often?

Is it maybe because these are big cabs, and therefore heavy?

Yes, they are definitely heavy but I don’t seem to hv weight issue with my 13-14mm SS pearl rings? Lol :D
I would be wondering what outfit & what color to match with jadeite?
I am probably too used to wearing diamond & pearl jewelries
Well, I promise I shall try =)2

... a cup size version in Canadian nephrite was my beloved penholder for many years, until lost to the wrath of times; RIP & NTS for a new one.

This man is a keeper! As are the rings!
Thank you, I shall keep that in mind always
Oh yes, he basically adores gems from Burma especially jadeite & corundum!

Haha the key is to stop worrying about matching and just wack a ring on. That's the motto I swear by.

My rules are now basically this: NEVER leave the house (except for school pick ups and drop offs plus dog walks) without at least 3 rings on. :lol-2::P2:mrgreen2:

@mellowyellowgirl
Oh yes, I remember drooling over your jadeite collection :eek2:
Ok, let me join your club (yes yes yes!)

my two most love icy jadeite pendant and ring :)
The pendant have black moss alike. Usually is green moss. With bats carving. In Chinese, bat symbolises good luck.

Jade cabochon was my dads who has gifted it to me.
About 55yo. It sat in his safe for better part of 35yrs.

I have no clue about jade either, which is why I own none, but I do appreciate its beauty. I was at a Christmas party for my husband’s company, and one of his coworkers had a family heirloom of icy white jade in a traditional circle pendant. I adore vivid color, lots of bling. but this simple pale colorless piece had such a glow and luster to it. I noticed it as soon as I met the coworker, and complimented her on it. She was in adoration of this piece and told me all about it. It was so nice and belonged to her grandmother.

Love all the jade pieces here!! Keep em coming!!!

Oh @Arkteia, I missed this out sad :(( sad :(( sad :(( !
Thanks for your compliments
Here’s another for you - my favorite jade pieces.
They are graded as “highly translucent” by the most reputable lab in my country.

They are so mystifyingly attractive! Thank you for sharing them!

Some lovely jade pieces featured here! I’m new to jade, and recently made my first purchase (although I think in traditional Chinese custom you aren’t meant to buy jade for yourself).

I love the “apple green” colour but it’s just so pricey! Will just have to sit back and admire from afar :)

I was hoping that the “veins” in this pendant would grow and become greener with wear but after reading this forum I think I will re-adjust my expectations! I’ve always been told that jade changes colour with wear - learn something new everyday!
