The stone I am looking at is a
GIA 1.51
VS2-G
Depth 64.7%

The table percentage is high, its 74. Everything else looks good, I dont have the cert. on hand its at home.

The price of the stone is $7,900.

Is that a good price considering the table percentage?

Thanks

Welcome!

The table is large...Unfortunately we can't tell much without photos or other images of the diamond. Have you looked at many other EC's? This would be advantageous as they can vary so much in shape and appearance. Going by the depth and table, it might not be the best EC you can find, so I would recommend you compare with others if possible to see exactly what appeals to you.

Can you get the crown height%, diameter measurements and girdle thickness of the diamond please? Have you already bought the diamond?

Pricing- it depends whether the diamond is from an online vendor or jewellery store, online prices are usually cheaper than store bought. You can use the search tool above to get a comparison, prices given are for online stock.

Is it the best performing EC? NO
Do some people not care about that and love the look? yes.

Have you compared other EC''s in person to see what types you like best? As Storm says, some like the large tabled EC look, but there can be trade offs with cut quality. We can''t tell much by the numbers regrettably, other than this is not likely to be the best performing EC, images such as ASET and photos are essential in order for us to learn more about this diamond. What do you think of it?

I have not seen the stone yet, but my friend who has much more diamond knowledge than me has, and says its great. I won''t be able to see it til after the new year.

Storm, what does the large table "look" mean ?

I know what a large table is, certainly, but how does that effect the stone?

Trying to learn more about emeralds lately.

Thanks.
