I had no idea either, so I went and looked. My foil has tabs, as do the two boxes of plastic wrap, which were even labeled "press tab to hold roll in place." Even with instructions, I still had no idea!!

I think I'll have to sue for something...hmmm.....

I did have to get up from the computer to go take a look: does that count for anything....loss of companionship (with my computer that is) or something?

I missed a bit on CNN too while I was poking around in my drawer in the kitchen. That counts too, right?

And in Canada we have the metric system: so multiply every $$award by 1.45 or so...and don't even get me started on how the exchange rate (for us!!) is wicked good these days.

Hahahaha, this is one of the things I just assumed that everyone knew! I realized this back in college, living on my own for the first time.

But...staplers. I found out for the first time about a month ago why they have that funny looking face on the metal plate. You can actually turn it around so your staples staple outward instead of inward. I never knew! Apparently it makes the staples easier to remove and is used for more temporary things.

...I just thought they wanted to put a funny-looking face on the staplers. Rotating anvils!

Ok, I felt dumb enough about the foil (yes, I ran to my kitchen while reading this) but the STAPLER (ran to my office for that one)...who would have ever thought to turn that plate around????? I''m going to look at every stapler I come into contact with over the next week to see if anyone has their plated turned the other way. OMG, I wonder what else I know nothing about that could make my life easier????
