Amazing RED Ruby & A Quandary

Not to derail any further, just maybe to offer a directed suggestion ... I think the "Jewelry Pieces" forum would make the most sense, since (at least philosophically), that seems like the one most closely focused on *jewelry* and not the gems it's made to house. Perhaps we should take this discussion there?

iLander, that sounds v. promising, and I like Chrono's suggestion! Any dream jewelers you've always wanted to work with? I bet most would be chomping at the bit to work with a beauty like this one ....

Not really. I'm not as detail-oriented as some of the PSer's. I see a lot of these settings and the nuances are so subtle, they're over my head! Especially the solitaires! And some of these fancy "designer" brands? You lost me. :nono:

I just want the thing to stay on my finger!

For this one, I want to wear a stone, not a "ring".

Is AGL very busy? Any estimate on how long this is going to take?

What happened with the AGL report?

Thanks, marymm and minousbijoux. I was following the thread on how to get an AGL certificate for quite a while, but then stopped. It never occurred to me that iLander would post news about her stone in a generic thread about how to obtain a certificate. I am devastated...on my own behalf as well as on iLander's. I had a feeling that something must have happened since no one was discussing her stone anymore, but that it was a hoax never occurred to me in a million years.

iLander, I hope that you are meant for THE most beautiful ruby ever!

Hugs,
Deb

Deb,

I hope so too, thank you . . . :blackeye:

So sorry iLander, but thank you for sharing your experience with us, and an important lesson. I hope you do indeed one day find that ruby of your dreams.

Indeed. You were so smart to send the ruby to a lab!!! Kudos to you for making that decision, iLander!!!

Big hugs,
