Guys! I'm a' stunned! Luckily for ALL of us love isn't just a case of physical beauty and emotional 'perfection'. He loves her. (And rumor has it he's kind of a Christian rocker - so chances are his beliefs don't run toward the 'upgrade the wife once I'm famous' frame of mind)

I'll admit I may have thought the same type of stuff when I saw them together. But I'd never, ever, ever SAY it on a public forum like this one. OOPS!

HAH kidding of course...I know that they love each other and all but that is just what I thought when I remembered that SHE was that wacko wife from the audition. All that sobbing and crying, blech. To be honest (and please, nobody throw anything!) I'd vote Bucky off before Kevin. I find Bucky to have as much talent as any scruffy looking dude I'd pick off the street (to be fair, I haven't seen the Stevie Wonder episode). At least Kevin has potential (though not much). Sure, he's little and awkward, but great stage presence takes time. He's only 16. I see him in musicals.

He won't come close to winning, though. If he does, he shouldn't.

But, I think part of it isn''t an act. I read some of the stuff on the VFTW & seemed like normal kid stuff. And, "Gimme the Mike" - I would hardly call that singing in front of someone. We had one sponsered by the local radio station. And, it''s kinda easy to be a beauty queen in small towns. And, you can certainly be a savvy little mink in a small town. Outside your comfort zone - well, I can tell you that I knew people who not only never had pizza - but all types of other food. And, the experiences limited to their little pond.

Damn, the "cocky" act didn''t work for Bree & certainly is turning Chicken Little into a mark. So, her "act" - she is crazy like a fox.

As far as wives, etc - I don''t remember seeing many married constestants go this far. I think what you see in the audience are mostly guardians until the end.

Ha ha, before I moved away from my little town, I didn''t know what Italian food was except for Olive Garden. My husband couldn''t believe I''d never had an Italian beef sandwich, a pizza puff, sushi, corned beef on St. Pat''s day, etc. Kellie may play some things up to her advantage, but I think her limited experience with cuisine is probably real. That article reminds me of people I went to high school with--they were always quick to make up rumors about people who stood out from the crowd.

I don''t know what channel is it for you guys but it''s in my 200''s (~245?)on DirecTV. it just started at 7:30!

i''m still getting through the american idol extra show because it was an hour long and i got bored last nite watching half of it so i switched to a south park...

...but so far they have interviewed melissa''s family and talked to some random people in the audience (boring) and then they interviewed the vocal coach gal who has been with AI since the beginning, fairly interesting actually, she talked about how she can''t tell them what song to choose but she can ''lead'' them aka ''you should listen to al greene with your voice'' but that is pretty much all she can do, and she works with them in rehearsals etc. she said that they worked with melissa on remembering the words for the stevie song and she had it in the last rehearsals and just lost it on stage etc. i am hoping they''ll interview the stylist...hee hee...aka the hooker creator.

so that''s the update so far!!
