Hehe that''s interesting to see...just cuz it''s so different from mine! The first 3 are the same basically, just varied order.

4. Kellie ( i adore her but unless she really starts pulling out the punches she will go sooner rather than later )

I didn''t put them in my own personal preference order (I like Ace more and Mandisa less). I loved Paris at the auditions, but she''s not lived up to her early promise; I hope she can last a while longer yet though. I think Ace will have a Constantine/Nickelback week when he does a really terrible song, and that will evict him earlier than he deserves. The same thing could happen to Taylor, so I agonised over which to put at 4 and which at 10.

After Bo''s close run last year, I think this is the year for a male rocker to win. I think Chris has a ton more charisma and stage presence than Mandisa; she has a lovely voice, but her maracas are best left unshaken (IMO).

Seriously, not to give away my secret sauce, but my logic is this... Kevin has the Vote For The Worst folks behind him - AND - 11 year old girls - AND - old folks who like sweet innocent boys. Paris & Lisa both JUST have 11 year old girls. I don''t think they''re as likeable or "fan-worthy". They don''t inspire the kind of overwhelming loyalty and madness that it takes to get enough votes. Kevin, though COMPLETELY LESS TALENTED, does. Also, the similarities between Lisa & Paris work against them too -- they kinda cancel each other out.

Just think about how long arguably icky Scott Sabol lasted last season ...

Will someone please explain to me Taylor's appeal? His voice isn't that great. He's going to bite it HARD when they make him sing outside his "jazzy" bubble. Of course, no one will bite it harder than Chris through the range tests. "Sorry, Chris, a Fuel song is not an option this time!"

I think tonight will be important. I''m waiting until tomorrow for my pics. I do think *image* will always be a factor on AI. It always does. And, I have to agree with Deco''s logic about Paris and Lisa. It certainly proved true on the AOL list.

I have yet to be able to vote since first season. What time (zone included) do you fans get through to vote? Was it last year or two years ago that Jasmine (Hawaiian) had the advantage because of Hawaii''s time zone was so unpopulated when the show aired.

...so even the location of your fan base makes a difference.

I'm not saying image isn't the most important thing, I'm saying it shouldn't be. Then again, I'm a 22 year old who hates the Billboard Top 40 and can't stand TRL. I enjoy (IMO) wonderful vocalists AND writers....Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills and Nash, Simon and Garfunkel, John Lennon and Paul McCartney (okay, not the best vocally), Hall and Oates, etc. I think Kelly Clarkson is amazing, and she came out of American Idol.

With the exception of Fantasia, I think that the winners of American Idol have been acceptable. This season, though, I think cute and ditzy overwhelms the true talent, and that makes me sad. Then again, it's just a show. I don't HAVE to listen to the winner. The true vocal talent will hopefully be signed anyway.

John Peter Lewis was on it. JPL from two? three? seasons ago? I loved him too ... didn't think he should WIN, but it sure was fun to watch his silly Elvis impersonations & snarky comedy. So now you guys know what a hapless nerd I really am!! I was a JPL lover!!

wow tonite was great, the energy was great even though the judges were kind of harsh on the contestants. i personally love stevie wonder ('as' is one of my most favorite songs and we played it at our reception) so i was interested in hearing and seeing the contestants sing...i thought that they all sounded very good but there are shades of good better best of course.

ace..anyone notice how he was all 'oh my god i actually hugged stevie wonder'...think there was any wandering hand action? i would so not be surprised, ace you are creepytothemax and you so know he was like 'damn i really wish i coulda done karma chameleon' instead.

i thought kellie looked beautiful tonite, she did an okay job with a genre totally unfamiliar to her but she looked really lovely and i still adore her fresh personality...she's too cute. i hope that she can find her 'vibe' and stick around.

elliott.. sure he's got the infamous bad teeth that launched a thousand posts, but man the guy can sing sing sing!!! i wasn't familiar with the song but he did GREAT and at the end he was just so impressive. his voice is just like butta.

mandesa and those shoes. they looked WAY too tight up near the top of the toes, yikes. no wonder they hurt! i wasnt super impressed with her performance, she hit all the big notes excellent and the end was fab, but in the beginning up til the middle her voice seemed somewhat unstable.

omg bucky...extreme makeover! he was looking pretty darn hip in those sweet jeans and the shirt...they definitely have been using vo5 on the hair. he did good on the song surprisingly...kellie could take some notes about how to sing something other than country. lol re the jessica simpson hairstyle...OH SNAP!

melissa, i love her smoky voice and she belted it out, except hello even i know those lyrics!! i don't think she'll go tonite..i'd be disappointed because i don't think it's her time just yet.

lisa did fab tonite with her sassy little hip belt and straight hair. i wasn't into the head bops ala shadesoftaylor, but she sounded great of course, she typically does. she looks older than 16 though!

kevin actually surprised me that he did alright, but i just can't get past the lisp!!! and what was he wearing? he had on like white keds with khakis or something. he did a great job on the song but he looks 10 and the lisp makes him seem even younger. chicken little phone home!!

katherine sounded awesome but jeez what was she wearing?! way to stop the rumors that you ARE pregnant, katherine...wearing a flowing empire waist gown. on an ironic tone, she reminds me of a fresh unspoiled catherine zeta jones.

taylor, well he sounded fabulous, but i just feel like he tries too hard with his funky moves (was that a modified running man at the end? lord save us). but i did love his got soul? tshirt, that was cool.

paris sounded great tonite, she seemed to finally get her groove back, she's such a little dynamo, though she was a bit pink pepto for my taste. so energetic i almost felt like getting up and putting my laundry in the dryer after she sang. almost.

chris, WOW. he found a song for him that JUST WORKED and he totally made it his own. it sounded SOOO awesome. i'm so in love. i think it was appropriate he closed the show too, such a great performer. i actually watched his performance over again.

haha and can i just say i kept cracking up at simon's 'compliments'...'you're like a little wind up performing doll'...'you're like everyone's drunk fathers at weddings but you can sing'...how nice!

the best tonite vocally? for me katherine, elliott, paris, and of course CHRIS CHRIS CHRIS!!

who do i hope goes? kevin..he's soo out of his league at this point. but who knows what'll happen!

I have to admit I was worried (apparently for no reason) about Chris singing a Stevie Wonder song...but DAMN it all if it wasn''t the best song by a mile! I think Paula wants to have his babies and I can see why! Pant...snort...wheeze...

#4 - LISA TAYLOR ... she blossomed on the big stage. Stevie''s tips helped her.

I thought katherine, Paris, Chris and Taylor were the best and most fun watch. I pretty much agree with everything Simon said last night. I was disapppointed in Kellie who I expected to do better, even though Stevie isn''t her thing she should have found an upbeat song and gave it a country twist. She did look beautful. Melissa did fine and I agree it was her best performance yet, but forgetting the words

. Ace just scares me

. Everyone else did well and I really enjoyed watching the whole show last night. Kevin seriously needs to go and I think his cocky little back talk to Simon was so wrong

Paris - why does she dress like my Aunt Regina? She looks so stuffed, and fussy, and drowning. Stylist! Stat!
Mandisa has a spectacular voice - a shake the rafters, robust, big sound. I'm just not diggin it for a Pop Idol.
Taylor - I loved his Stevie performance. The four corners jig was weird - but loved the transformation of the song. My first I love Taylor night.
Chris - just take the offer from Fuel and drop AI. Leave it for someone to win who doesn't have a band waiting for him.
Elliott - he's my new man. If he put out an album it would be a 'must own' for me.
Katherine - God awful pregnant dress but not only could I listen to her voice all day (like Elliott) I could watch her gorgeous face sing it all day (well...)

I had a really good time watching AI last night. I love how the competition steps up once the lineup is decided! I think that AI5 have it easier/better than contestants from AI1. Now they got a full band and backup singers etc. IMO, the backup singers'' mike is up way too loud.

I called all contestants last night and the only busy signals I got were Taylor and Chris!
I must give your girls amazing props for the recaps! Snarkalicioso! Today, I am gonna recaps by favorites! (however, the top 4 were all sooo good)

Katharine: She nailed it! It was fanstastic. Her voice, her face! She''s gorgeous and talented. The "shoe" comment was unnecessary and SO out of the blue? And, IMO, EVERYONE who is not a size 0 should stop wearing empire waist flowy tops. It makes everyone look preggers. It IS a great look when you are pregnant, however.
Chris: Come to Mama! Katharine, IMO, has a better voice but Chris is still phenomenal. I loved everything about this performance. He looked incredibly sexy tonight. I loved when he went near the band! Awesome REALLY GREAT performance.

Taylor: Taylor entertained me! His voice sounded AWESOME! His hair looked great! DON''T DYE IT! I love love love love love his little manic dance moves because I think they are soulful and meaningful, not choreographed like say, ACE!

Paris: WOW! There is the Paris we all knew and loved at the beginning! Her performance was awesome. Simon''s comment about the little wind up doll, classic!

Elliott: LOVE this guy more everytime I hear him. It wasn''t his greatest performance because we were all expecting him to do well with Stevie. We were expecting pretty much everyone, but him, to bomb! He did what we were expecting. He was good. I was really moved at how he was touched when he met Stevie.

Jessica Simpson: Jessica looked good and he sounded good. I really liked her rendition of Superstition! I think that she is very likeable and I''d like to see her stick around for a while!

Mandisa: Hated the outfit. Her face was a little shiny but she looked beautiful. I loved when she hit high notes in her song but the rest was just, well, nice.
Kevin: Part-time lover! Anyone else notice that his head gets bigger with every week that passes? He''ll be gone soon enough. Even though his performance

Kevin: Part-time lover! His performance entertained me. His vocal were not awesome. But for some strange reason beyond mine, or Randy''s, or Paula''s imagination, I was entertained. He is, however, getting cockier by the minute and he''ll be gone soon enough. Not this week though. I say this because my mom called me right after his performance and said "isn''t he just too cute." Women like my mother are why he will stay.

THE MEH STARTS HERE!

Lisa: The best of the MEH, IMO. Can she sing? Yes. Is she cute? Yes. Her performance bore me to tears. Her vocals were bland and she tried to step it up with her facial and body expressions. To me she looks like she has been groomed for Star Search all her life. Didn''t work for me.

Ace: There is nothing about Ace that is original. There is only room for one Justin Timberlake in the entertainment industry.

Melissa: Her voice sounded good. The package is not there. They made her look like a complete idiot on the intro reel. And then she goes and forgets lyrics to one of the most known songs in the world. Her performance was a complete bore.

Her performance was uber-boring. She looked beautiful but the dress didn''t suit her. The shoes were really hot. She''ll stay because of her banter with Ryan. "Are you Arachnophobic?
