Tom Chews!


He is reported saying that he will eat the cord and placenta after the birth and is saying he thought it would be '' very nutritious.''

'' I am gonna eat the placenta. I thought that would be good. Very nutritious. I''m gonna eat the cord and the placenta right there.''


Words fail me.....

Not a fan of either Tom or Katie, but I did see the Primetime Live interview last week where he supposedly said he wants to eat the placenta -- he was actually saying it as a joke in response to Diane Sawyer reading to him a litany of rumors about him, Katie, and the baby. He said that he wouldn''t be surprised if some newspaper tabloid took his words out of context to suggest that he actually was planning on eating the placenta. It was quite clear in the interview that he was kidding and making fun of all the outrageous rumors floating around about him. Just thought I''d clear that up. He''s still a freak, though.

I just know from my friends experience and what they say. It''s her first, your belly doesn''t manifest itself in this way. Second pregnancy - yes - not the first.

Don''t know - the whole thing is just bizaare. Maybe we should make signs for her to be like a normal women giving birth. ''If you do this to me again, I will cut your penis off!''

Not necessarily true, sorry...How one shows when you are pregnant is not the same for all, even with very similar body types, heights and bone structure. It is SO different per person...

For Katie, alot depends on hereditity...how her mom was during pregancy, her aunts, grandmothers, etc. That has more determining factors than anything.

The samething with the sonogram being hooked up to her 24x7...he said that tongue and cheek with Diane Saywer during the interview. Now it was taken totally out of context and people believe he really meant it

I know he''s a nut, but I think things are even more exagerated then they actually are in reality.

I have to agree that Tom definitely has several screws loose...

I wanted to address something here about being pregnant...I got SO round in my face, my arms, my whole being with my first child.

I was very tiny when I got married and then when the hormones of pregnancy kicked in, OMG...it was very different. Now, with some of my other pregnancies, I actually stayed kind of small or just the same until like my 5th month then my weight and body contoured fuller.

Being pregnant is quite a journey and not necessarily to be feared. Hell, if I can do it 9 times and still have the following measurements--39-32-37--then anything is possible. Is it hard on the body? Of course, to a certain degree, but, I have to say knowing that my body had the capacity to do that was pretty amazing.

I will cop to the fact that as I got older and had my last 2 kids, it was pretty physically draining, but labor in bringing a human being to life is one of my greatest triumphs and as much as I hate my stretch marks, in a weird way, I wear them with a smile.
Back on the subject of Katie...As much as I hope she has a healthy child with Tom, I pray she awakens from her current state of being and gets the hell out of his life for the life of this child and her own. He has NEVER been a draw to me...not in movies, not at ALL. I do not see movies because he is in them, quite the opposote. BEcause he is associated with a movie, I am alot less likely to see it.

All any of us can hope for is that Katie snaps out of it and gets out as soon as possible...before its too late for her own career''s sake...

I totally agree...its because everyone wants to believe he is as strange as he is appearing to be, unfortunately...

I think she is pregnant. Like many have said before, how you carry pregnancy differs from person to person and time to time. Your belly can look different even depending on what you wear! I am using Leisa Hart''s exercise video; in the video she is in her third trimester and basically looks completely normal except it looks like she has a beach ball under her leotard. Baby bellies can look like that.
As far as walking around, with my first I was walking around shopping the same day my water broke (had baby following day). Doctors actually encourage you to walk around when you are getting this close, helps bring on the contractions.
And I guess I would also ask, why would she fake being pregnant? Is she walking around shopping for shoes while she has a newborn at home? It seems far more parsimonious that she is pregnant.
I''m not going to get into Tom Cruise. Scientology gives me the creeps.

Deanna, Part Gypsy, and all of the other mothers who responded -- thank you for clearing up some of my misconceptions about pregnant bellies and over-all bloating. I also had no idea that feet can permanently change size. As I previously said, I''m not in a stage of life where I''m really around pregnant women, and I''m really not sure what''s "normal" or to be expected. Most of the gossip column type articles about KH''s pregnancy seem to be written by younger men or others who don''t seem to have been pregnant or close to a pregnant women. Plus I have a feeling that most of the hype about her pregnancy is more tied to Tom Cruise''s history and the things he''s been saying lately than it is to the shape of her belly, although that''s pretty easy to comment on.

I agree that faking a pregnancy seems like so much more trouble than its worth, but with all of the things he''s been saying and joking about, it''s easy to see him doing something like that. Who knows.

just adding my 2 cents:

Of course she’s pregnant, I’m 100% certain. You think anyone would go to someone who makes prosthetic bellies, and say: “Make me a huge belly with the biggest, ugliest outie possible”? The jury is definitely still out on who the father is though.

As for those of you who said she can’t possibly be really pregnant because her face, arms and legs aren’t huge and swollen…..I totally beg to differ. She may not be huge and swollen compared to the average masses, but here’s a picture of pre-preggo Katie to remind everyone of how thin she used to be. She’s definitely put on a significant amount of weight in her face, arms and DEFINITELY in the butt and legs.

Lastly, I totally agree that the same person can experience totally different pregnancies and look completely different each time. With my first, my arms, legs and face stayed the same, and my belly was straight out the front like I stuffed a basketball in there. From the back I didn’t look preggo at all. With my second I gained weight EVERYWHERE, and my belly looked like a spare tire around my whole middle. I gained roughly 50-55lbs with both pregnancies, and I’m happy to say that I’m back to pre-preggo size in clothes and shoes!

I just think what is sad is that he is exposing his freakness and dragging her into too. People have remarked how she disappeared when they first met and then emerged a couple weeks later looking very zombie like. Interviewers now remalrd how she is no longer sparkly and vivacious but floats in and out of the room, with a Stepford like smile on and barely speaks. Even her voice sounded false when I heard her talk. I think he is ill and that she is being used to quiet rumors that he is gay. I also heard he was basically "auditioning" women for this role, Scarlett J. and Lindsay L. were in the running but they would not meet with him. I feel like she is being brainwashed and manipulated and just feel sorry for her!

Yes and supposedly they separated because the Baby wasn''t his ...COULDN''T BE, because he was infertile from childhood mumps (or scarlet fever?) and that is how he knew she was cheating on him supposedly. All rumor of course.

Maybe by impregnating Katie, Tom now believes he has ''SUPER SPERM'' thus his over the moon attitude lately.

I personally think Tom is the ''New Michael Jackson'' when it comes to weirdness.
