Poor Angello and Nan having to wait and wait, it must have been torture. So happy it is over and went well. I agree that he has been through more than anyone should have to bear in a lifetime.

As Lisa said, the procedure was scheduled for 10:30 but he didn''t go
back until 2:00pm. Poor kid. He was so hungry and awnry. Who could blame him?
It''s more difficult when they are older and understand that they are hungry.

According to the doc, the procedure went well. He was in for about 2 hours.
They checked all his pressures, collaterals, arteries and the hole they left after his third
surgery. They closed the hole with a cool patch. This should make his oxygen higher, his skin
pinker and him feel better.
The dr was actually surprised by his good numbers despite his weak heart function.

So glad he is doing great. Thank God. I just say this thread and have to say I had to skip to the end my heart was just pounding. I knew the cath was coming up but didn''t see the thread till now. Belated prayers.

Literally the photos of him upset and hungry just do me in. Rush of emotions like nothing else - Nan, you remember my son has much the same history so it doesn''t take much. I worked for years in a peds ER and was Miss Cool as a Cucumber no matter what - that''s out the window with my own child. His annual echo/cardiology appt is next month. Keep your fingers crossed all is status quo. Our sons look somewhat alike - same age, skin/hair/eye color, ugg.

He''s busy playing with his brothers and I took him for a nice walk this morning.
