With the extra steps does that makes this diamond more like a royal asscher?

I think the royal asschers have 5 pavilion mains and 3 on the crown, this little guy has 4 on the crown. With the smaller facets you dont get quite the same broad flashes as with a 3/3 asscher, but I like the effect.

Wow, thats quite the compliment, wheres the blushing smiley when you need it?

My hubby said all he will tell me about the setting as of yet is that the design was inspired by a Scott Kay ring. He said the jewelers estimate was 2 or 3 more weeks, but our anniversary isn''t until the middle of May, and there''s about a 50:50 chance of him either breaking down and giving it to me right away or waiting until the official date.

I have a horrifying number of photos if anyone wants to see more

I have to agree that is one of the prettiest asschers I have ever seen, and there have been some beauties posted here.
