So glad I checked in this morning! I was wondering when you would post. Really that was the *perfect* day, at least as far as the pictures belie. It makes me know that you really can have *your* day in your own way. I just loved the way your guests are sitting on the beach very casually during the ceremony, taking it all in. And you and new hubby look SO happy. Glad the visitor''s book went over well.

I used orchids...my friends couldn''t find the stephanoitis for me. I actually prefered the orchids when I saw them...I didn''t know they came so small and pretty...I always pictured the big ones. Like I said, I don''t know much about flowers!

You ladies really are so sweet and complimentary...I''m tickled and kind of embarrassed!

Indie, travelingguy chose his own outfit...I had seen so many nice linen suits on PS that I was hoping he''d go for something like that. No luck...and I didn''t push the issue since he had no say in my dress. He really had something in mind...drawstring linen pants were at the top of the list. I was like "drawstring?" One of the first things he ordered looked like pajamas...even worse, they were baggy in the ass and tapered around the ankles. Ew! Even he knew those were bad. Our problem is that we were looking in september...totally off season. We finally found a pair of "Penguin" pants at Nordstrom rack for 30 bucks, albeit not quite the right color. The shirt was Tommy Bahamas (my brother and the officiant wore them too). At $120, it was more expensive than my dress, but I thought it looked nice on him and he was thrilled with it. It felt "islandish" without being garishly floral. Here''s a close-up photo...
