Wellll… I’m sad to say it was too good to be true I just got the following email from Poshmark. I’m so bummed!! Oh well, I guess it wasn’t meant to be!!

The authenication process can be a pain-in-the-arse but it likely saved you from a bigger set of problems. So sorry for your disappointment though.

Aww! Boo- I was wondering if it was a scam since I noticed they had just purchased it themselves for and then “reposhed” it. Glad it was caught!

Moral to the story: If you want a BGD diamond, purchase it from BGD.

Thank you all for the kind comments and sympathy!! It’s a bummer, but it definitely makes me glad Poshmark has the authentication process. I’m not sure I’d have thought twice about it if I’d received it. I’d have been happy and trusted the seller. Someone pointed out and I probably should have questioned that the seller had recently bought it themselves and hadn’t taken any photos - they just reused the other seller’s ad

So they were using an actual cert for a BGD but had substituted a lab diamond for the stone? Wow - just more stuff to have to look out for these days!

They weren't willing to give me more info but I'm thinking either that or maybe a CZ?
