Antique halo or three stone for antique EC

Should I put the antique Emerald cut into an antique halo setting or keep it in its current setting?

Looking for some help before I do anything drastic! I have a 2.57 JVS1 antique emerald cut that I adore. She’s very deep and flashy and bright. When I got her last year, I really wavered between a three stone setting or an antique halo setting. It was a tough decision, but I ultimately went for the three stone. Now I’m wondering if I should have done that antique halo design after all. I am thinking that it would more match the stone’s antique character and warmth.

What do you think? It would be in platinum and here is a potential-although not final-mold.

I really like the antique halo. I feel like the stone can really be the centre of attention in the halo plus the added finger coverage is always a bonus.

To be honest I don't think the 3 stone setting is doing the stone any favors. I would move it to the halo setting. If I were going to
keep it in the 3 stone setting I would probably engrave the band (or do something with it) to help differentiate things a little.

if the choice is between the current three stone and the plastic/wax model, I'd go with the halo. I agree that the current three stone setting isn't doing much for the stone. If you would also be thinking of re-doing a three stone, then I'd pick that. But between the two photos, I'd go with the halo.

What a great idea @Niel !
Would they be too big though? Together they are .63 cts. Not sure if that would look right
