I used to carry one...but I''d just get such strange looks when I''d get it out (though there are plenty of situations where it''s just plain handy to have a "magnifying glass" on ya. But reading this thread makes me think that the loupe should go back in my bag!

I keep one in my purse. I mostly use it for looking at the marks on old silver.

Mine is a Belomo (based on Pandora''s rec), and I like it a lot.

That is awesome so many loupe carriers!!!

LOL
A couple times I have been accused of being in the trade and spying on them and asked to leave and I hadn''t even had a chance to pull my loupe out yet.. LOL

I used to, when I first got my engagement ring and felt a little obsessive about its cleanliness

now I carry one whenever I take it in for service, so that I can check it afterward.

yep- i have it strung on a piece of teal blue ribbon!

Yep - my sister got me one for Christmas (we celebrated last weekend since she lives out of town) and I must admit that I am looking at the damn thing even more now than before! LOL It''s hard to find the best light to really see everything, so I''m constantly checking it out in different lighting situations. People probably think I''m nuts, but I don''t care!

It can also be helpful. There''s a local jeweller who thought I was in the trade (I was still a lawyer at that time) and offered me steep discounts.
